bekka izu — Hotel in Ito

We are a family of four and stayed there for two nights in December 2024. It was a very special experience. Because of the huge year-end traffic around Tokyo, we arrived 6 hours later than scheduled. The Bekka team was very accommodating, and even prepared late night food for us given our arrival time was well past 9pm. I was immediately impressed by their hospitality.

The next day we had the scheduled breakfast and dinner, prepared by their chef Kazuki san. The cooking was amazing and the dinner was one of the best I have had. Moreover, Kazuki san checked with us in advance on our food preference, and prepare food that our kids would enjoy. That gave us an opportunity to have a dinner together as a family, with the adults enjoying more sophisticated food and the kids also got what they like.

Their manager, Otsuka san, speaks perfect English and she is very friendly and attentive to details. She also introduced us to some lesser known German wines, which matched very well with the food.

The building is impeccable and we like the wooden design very much. It is next to a beautiful hill and you can stay there the whole day chilling out and connecting to the nature. We did go out for lunch at a nearby restaurant recommended by Kazuki san, and the food was great. But most of the time, we simply enjoyed the onsen, great food and the nice atmosphere of the place.

It is a place where I would definitely like to visit again...

The building is beautifully crafted from high-quality Japanese wood. Every piece of furniture and decor was thoughtfully chosen and exuded elegance. With only one group allowed per day, we had the entire place to ourselves, making for a truly relaxing and personalized stay. The meals were absolutely flawless, with every detail carefully considered—they were nothing short of breathtaking. The onsen was outstanding, leaving my skin incredibly smooth...

今回は友人と4人で宿泊しました。一棟貸切のオーベルジュに宿泊するのは初めてだったので、ホームページを拝見したときから楽しみにしていました！

美味しいご飯と快適な滞在を期待して行ったのですが、温かくて心地よいおもてなしと、食事中の会話から伊豆のお話や、食材のストーリー、器などひとつひとつへのこだわりなどをお伺いし、これだけの想いが詰まってるからこんなに心地よい空間なんだなと納得しました。できたばかりとお伺いしたのですが、いたるところ完成度が高すぎて、心からリラックスできる滞在をご提供頂きました。

ディナーはお食事が出てくる前から視覚でも楽しめるものばかりで、一品一品進んでいく中でどんどん期待値も上がり、お料理が毎回輝いて見えるくらいワクワクが止まらなかったです✨ 気づけば何品出して頂いたのかわからないくらいの品数の多さでしたが、すべての料理に興味を惹かれ、「美味しい」が最後の最後まで持続する時間でした。 おすすめ頂いたドイツのスパークリングワインと日本酒も美味しかったです。

朝食は同じダイニングで食べているのに夜とはまた雰囲気が異なり、前夜のディナーの際に岩のお話も聞いていたので、窓から見える岩に愛着が湧くほどでした。 今回は和食の朝食を頂いたのですが、土鍋で炊いたご飯が輝いてました。全部美しくて、美味しかったのですが、朝食にまでスイーツがでてきたことに驚きました。焼き立てのマドレーヌとひんやり冷たいマカロン、トリュフが食後のコーヒーとマッチしすぎて朝から幸せでした。

何度か伊豆は訪れているはずなのに、食事を通して今回伊豆をたくさん知ることができた気持ちになりました。

なかなか会えない友人と食事後もラウンジにご用意頂いているお酒を飲みながら、会話を楽しみ、テラスラウンジではエタノールの焚き火台を囲みながら空を見上げ、源泉かけ流しのお風呂も満喫させて頂きました。素敵な時間をありがとうこざいます。心うるおいました♡

また絶対行きます。違う季節にも滞在してみたいですし、「この人を連れてきてあげたいな…♪」と考えるのが楽しみになるくらい...
