What can I say...my wife and I just got back from a 3 month travel trip, and Fujitatami was our absolute favorite place we stayed!
It is a bit out of the city, and a good spot if you want to experience the day to day Japanese life.
Fujitatami seems like it attracts the nicest people, as we instantly made friends with everyone there. Issay was the perfect host making us feel at home (and even dropped us off to the airport as it was too early for the bus!)
There is nowhere like it. We were only there for 2 nights, and were so sad to not have had longer...we were actually on the verge of tears when we left. 11/10 don't...
Read moreGreat Stay!!! Loved the owners and it is a lovely guest house with traditional tatami mats and a tatami workshop next door! Very unique experience.
It is a bit away from Osaka but that is one of the reasons why I chose this Guesthouse. To be out of the city and more in a normal neighborhood. The city is still easily accessible by public transit and an easy ride to the KIX airport.
Everything was clean and well organized. The other guests were all friendly and I’m glad I stayed nearly a week!

Read moreLoved it here!!! Issai and Kana are just the sweetest people and will help you with anything you need. To me, it felt like visiting family. The rooms are also clean, the futons comfortable and you have airconditioning in the room. It's not in the city centre, but I really liked coming 'home' to a more quiet location. Also, there's a supermarket right across the guesthouse and you have your own kitchen area to use for cooking, doing the laundry or storing food in the fridge. Felt very happy and comfortable here, 10/10...
