Kamogawa-kan — Hotel in Kamogawa

First of all, not sure why this place is rated as 1 star?? Nearly missed it cuz I was only looking for 4 stars and above. Stayed two nights with family. Highly recommended for any type of trip.The room(we stayed in a recently renewed room)was fabulous. Clean with beautiful ocean view. In room dining(limited number of room types has in room dining option. Others will be dining at the restaurant on 2nd floor) experience was great for both dinner and breakfast. Hot springs were never crowded and super clean. All amenities are provided for your convenience. Ninth floor infinity pool was also great with magnificent view. Bathing suits provided as well. Each floor had a little room with self-serving beverage such as coffee, tea, freshly squeezed juice, water, etc. All staffs were very attentive and efficient. Loved the matcha tea and little sweets at the lobby when we checked-in. There is a seaworld in a walking distance so we dropped off our luggages at 11am, spend few hours at the seaworld and checked-in at 3 pm. Both check-in and check-out was smooth. Initially, the hotel made a very positive impression. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, and the room offered a spectacular view. Each floor featured a station with complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit drinks, which was a thoughtful touch. However, the water at these stations was not restocked, and the water supply in our room was insufficient from the start.

Unfortunately, the dining experience left much to be desired. During dinner, the staff failed to explain the dishes, seemed unfriendly, and placed bowls on the table with unnecessary loudness, which was quite disruptive. Breakfast was equally disappointing, with the salad bar at the buffet left unstocked and the rice served at both meals consistently hard and dry.

While the hotel shines in its scenic views and initial appeal, it falls significantly short in the quality of its food and service. Moreover, we didn’t feel welcomed or well cared for, which greatly diminished the...

八階に親子4世代で宿泊しました。

良いところ ・大浴場にフェイスタオルとバスタオルがたくさん備え付けられており、部屋からタオルを持って行かなくて良い

・部屋がバリアフリーになっていて段差がない

・部屋にたくさん仕切り扉がついており、 ベッド側からも和室からも夜中トイレに行けたり、 子供にここは通したくないというところを細かく仕切れる。

・私の宿泊した部屋には半露天風呂がついており、大浴場に行きたくない祖父母がゆったり入っていた

・公共交通機関で来たが、駅から送迎バスを出してくれたので助かった

・チェックイン時刻前に荷物を預かってくれたので、近くの鴨川シーワールドに手ぶらで行けた

・朝食バイキングでは、子供の食事エプロンも置いてあって助かった

・温泉ぷーろ用の水用オムツを忘れても売店に売ってあった（少し高い模様なので持参をお勧め）

改善が欲しいところ

・備え付けのお菓子は、人数分（5個）あったが、 冷蔵庫にあったびわゼリーだけなぜか三つしか入っていなかった。 係の人に言うほど欲しい！と言うわけではないが、少し残念でした。

・夜はマイワイというところの個室でいただいたが、配膳が遅い

・一歳子供が飽きてきてしまい、お皿等で遊んでしまうので下げてくださいと頼んだものの下げてくれなかった

・事前に（宿泊前から）金目鯛の煮付けを頼んでいて、『いつお出ししますか？』と聞かれたので『お任せでお願いします』と、お料理の良いタイミングをお願いしたが 最後の白米が来てからしばらく届かず、残りはデザートという時に来た。 タイミングが遅すぎる。

・なぜか扉を全部閉めず、少し開けたままにするので子供が出ようとしたり、 声が聞こえてしまうかもしれないと気が休まらない

・9階の温泉ぷーろという、水着を着てオムツの子供や男女で入れるお風呂があった。 貸し出しの水着があったものの、上の水着にパッドがついておらず、二枚重ねにしても人によっては透けるので 水着にはせめてパッド付きのものにして欲しい。 夜で誰もいなかったかは良かったが、朝や昼、夕方だったらとてもあの格好では人によっては入れない。

※ホームページを見たら持参の水着も良いそうです。 しかし、全然広くないのでプール感はないです。 一つのお風呂に、水着を着て男女で入れるって感じです。

今回の旅行で特に良かったのはお風呂です。 男女入れ替え制なのでどちらも入れました。

1日目はみぎわの湯。 露天風呂はこれ、露天風呂か？という感じで少し残念。 しかし中のお風呂は、ぬるめの湯、ふつうの湯、熱めの湯、と3種類あり自分のお好みの湯加減のお風呂に入れました。

ミストサウナは熱いのが苦手な私でも入りやすい温度でした。

2日目はときわの湯。 私はこちらがお気に入りになりました！ 1番好きなのは露天風呂の入り口近くにある蒸し風呂。

なにこれ！？という見た目でしたが扉を開けると一人用の蒸し風呂。 サウナのような感じで、頭を出すところがあり、体だけ扉を閉めて肉まんのように蒸されている感じですごい良かったです。 二台ありました。

また露天風呂も木が綺麗で森林の香りが良かったです。

どこの旅行でも大体、タオルは使い回しで自室で干して、生乾きかビチョビチョのタオルで拭いたりしますが ここでは手ぶらでお風呂に行って、タオルを借りられるので温泉好きな私と母はとても嬉しかったです。 何度も温泉に入る方はお勧めです。
