This is the best hotel we’ve ever been to. The hotel is located on top of the hill overlooking the city. The bed is spacious and can fit 2 adults and 2 kids. Their restaurants serve excellent food. One of them is a Michelin-star restaurant. You can also rent private bath for your family for a small fee. The private bath is located on top of the hill. You can get a nice view of the nearby town while taking a bath. The hotel also has an outdoor heated pool. So you can still swim in it even on a cold month like November. The hotel and villas are surrounded by trees and plants. Walking around the property is both fun and relaxing. Their souvenir shop boasts of different local products. The apple juice and grape juice are must-try. This hotel is getting popular. So booking a room for the golden week, summer break or winter break is difficult. I would suggest that you make early reservations.

We spent 2 nights at the Le Grand and had a terrific experience. The font desk personnel, Sandaru Eshan was very helpful when making reservation and after arrival, helping find the room we like to stay. Very patient and considerate. The restaurant, VAAS is delightful place for dinning with wonderful dinner and good selections of breakfast. The hot springs facility is fairy new and well maintained. The hotel provides shuttle service to the Kzruizawa station every 30 min which is convenient. Overall, the stay at Le Grand was wonderful and exceeded our expectation!👍

Nicely decorated hotel resort in the woods. Spread over a huge area the hotel encompasses other facilities to cater to wedding functions with wedding halls and chapel. Gorgeous setting. For hotel there are about 50 rooms and we stayed in a large room. Due to large area the room is situated quite a walking distance. But overall service and food is good and nice. Amenities and room provision is good too. Stayed for 2 nights and the area of Karuisawa is definitely a nice and colorful place to visit esp during fall season.

We travelled with 18 months old twin toddlers and rent a car. We booked Yamanoue Suite Twin because it has a separate room where we can leave our toddlers to sleep while we do something else. It was a very big room, and the boys were happy to run around and explore all the different area of the room. However, they were only able to provide 1 cot (paid) per room despite saying they could do two when emailing them, probably for safety reasons. Lucky the beds are super big and we were able to co-sleep with each of them without any problem. There aren't any view from the room unfortunately but the resort itself does offer a very stunning view. We booked the package which includes breakfast and dinner for 3 nights. We missed our first breakfast, but did attend the other 2. Breakfast has a decent selection but were very similar each morning with little variation. Dinner was set french menu and was different each night. We ordered 1 child meal to share between the 2 every night. The child meal was so impressive though not everything is suitable for toddlers to eat (it wasn't designed for toddlers so we're ok with it). The staff understood without saying that our boys cannot be seated for long and was very efficient in serving our meals without compromising the service. There was some confusion with dinning time due to language barrier, but it wasn't a big deal at all. The only complaint I have was that there weren't very obvious instructions on how to call for a buggy when we were at Yamanoue Suite as there's usually no visible staff on site; it was a little inconvenient (and also cold being winter) so I did not end up trying their onsen at all which was disappointing as that was part of the reason why I booked this resort. All in all, we were very happy...

We have stayed one night to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Free shuttle is available outside south exit of Karuizawa Station. It takes a 15 mins ride to the hotel.||The deluxe room is spacious and stylish. The toilet is super large with double sink, separate shower, toilet and bath.||The onsen is closed while we are staying because of the typhoon in October. We go to the hot pool within the same building. It is terrific with both indoor and outdoor pool as well as spa.||We do enjoy a delicious and romantic dinner in the French restaurant.||Buffet breakfast has adequate choices and the food is good.||The staff are polite and caring especially the young lady that drives us back from the cafe to the hotel during sudden heavy rain.||We would like to thank for the special surprise during our anniversary stay.||This is a hotel highly recommended for a...
