Rooms are spotlessly clean. Well designed lobby with the hot spring gave a good impression when I checked in.||But after that it was a nightmare, whenever I called or approached the reception counter for help! They were just so rude and wasted so much of my time. There are like 2-3 staff standing there every time I passed by. Non of them can speak proper English, even I spoke slowly they don’t understand so I had to repeat many times. ||Their attitude was so rude and unkind. The service was very slow and inefficient. They gave me wrong information to a bank which was closed! I got no cash with me so I wanted to change at the counter, they wasted my time and asked me for so much information with poor English and eventually they said they can only change US dollar! Because of that I went all the way to Kashiwa station which is 20 minutes away to change money. Back and forth 45 minutes I almost missed my flight. Everything was delayed because of them. Then I was rushing back to the hotel to check out, then they asked me to pay 1000yen as a penalty again with a poor attitude! I told them how they ruined my trip, they just shut up with zero apology! I never thought Japanese people are like that!||Not only that, I asked them to book a restaurant and they said it’s fully booked! Eventually I called my japanese friend who was at work to do it for me, she was able to do it! ||It was terrible the whole team of people! Everybody on the street were helpful and nice, but the hotel staff at the reception they were good enough to...

Read moreThe only thing to complain is the way into the drop-off which is abit hard to find, and also the parking is a few minutes walk away and abit inconvenient for us. We would prefer the parking at the same building for convenience sake. Other than that, the service of the staff and the room is wonderful. I love Mitsui Garden!
I was trying to push 2 big luggages and 2 bags from the drop off point to reception. After checking in, I kindly seek the staff assistance to bring my bags to the room. They are very kind to assist as my partner went to find the parking lot, it would take some time for him to return back to the hotel.
They have a language translator at the reception which was super convenient for the staff to use as most tourists cannot understand Japanese language. Very thoughtful.
We also requested 2 additional pillows and they were very nice to accommodate. Most of the Japan hotels only come with 2 pillows for one bed which is normal.
There was also a designated smoking room at level 1 in the hotel - which you do not have to step out in the cold to smoke.
Walkable distance to our favourite breakfast - McDonald’s too. It was raining that day otherwise it could have been more convenient.
We stayed overnight here as we reached Japan via Narita airport close to evening time and wanted a stop-over before heading...
