Dormy Inn Kitami — Hotel in Kitami

|My husband and i were very impressed by this business hotel and would definitely return if we visit that part of Hokkaido again. Here are some reviews of our stay there:||(+) couteous reception who spoke good English. She was clear in her instructions and was helpful with our questions. ||(++) All the staff we met, from reception to the kitchen staff were friendly and helpful. ||(+/-) Room was clean and neat, with all the basic amenities. But as of all business hotels in Japan.. space is limited but since we have stayed in even smaller ones before, Dormy Inn Kitami's room was decent enough - enough space for 2 luggages.||(++) our booking of the hotel came with breakfast and well.. the quality of food was GREAT and the spread was sufficient. They served Snow Crab legs and steamed asparagus which were in season. They were also considerate enough to half the crab legs for easy eating. The price of the breakfast (¥1500) was really reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food served. ||(+) we were too tired to hunt for food outside and wanted to just eat in the hotel... and to our VERY pleasent surprise... dinner was served FOC for the first 30 guests. It was really a surprise as we didnt expected it when we went to the dining area expecting to pay for dinner. ||(++) as of the previous dormy inn we have stayed.. raman was provided for supper from abt 9pm to 11pm. ||(+) onsen in the hotel was equipped and sufficient. ||(+/-) parking space was charged at ¥600 per night. I gave it a +/- review cos i read it somewhere on the website or booking site that it was ¥500. But well... i have to say that they ensured that u have ur lot. We came back late one night and all their lots were taken.. they allowed us to park at public paying lots. We just have to pass the receipt to the reception. ||Highly...

We stopped by Kitami city just for one night and found this hotel is a good price for us to stay.||The hotel is very business mode! |-small and compact , nothing is useless, but everything in there is useful for customer.|- many parking lots, even need to pay, but in a small amount |- nice and helpful staff |- rooms are compact, clean and tidy. There is everything you need, very practical ! |- good and small , but clean osen |- a small canteen like restaurant, breakfast is good! Do not expect any fancy food, but taste good, fresh food and in big portion ( many Japanese restaurant or hotel are in extremely small portions)|- the small canteen also serve dinner for the first 30 hotel guess for free and noodles for free after 23:00.|- they have washing machine for free|- vending machine, even books and manga for guess to borrow to read |- close to many good restaurants |- free coffee to go|- price is good ||And they are very efficient! I’m finishing up two stays over consecutive weeks at the Dormy Inn Kitami. I’ve stayed at a half dozen different Dormy Inn hotels around Japan and this one is the most comfortable. The rooms are small but functional, and they do stay warm, in a very cold city. I found both stays quiet, and the breakfast had a good selection of Japanese and Western options. The free soba and dinner options are a nice touch. And for people who like the hot springs bath, they will enjoy this hotel.
