Wow best meal this trip! And I thought my best meal would be seafood, being Hokkaido! Walked in to make a reservation as online showed it was full. Thankfully there was availability! Everything was insanely delicious! Especially the salt aged beef tongue!!!!! If I were forced at gunpoint to replace a dish with another, I’d probably have another salt aged beef tongue in place of the tongue stew. Also had the uni cream pasta which was so decadent I’m glad I had a friend to share with but we were almost licking our bowls if not for the fact there were other civil guests around us. The salt aged Hokkaido beef sagari was a very good starter… left us hungry and craving for more! The caramelized Kitami onions were sweet and moreish! Just wished the fried onion chips were crispier, but instead they were rather cardboard like in texture, though tasty! We had red wine and honey yuzu highball to go with the meal. The French toast and mascarpone ice cream was a delightfully sweet and slightly savory end to a wonderful meal. Wish I had stayed another night to try more of the menu! Service was warm, friendly and efficient, with the male server making sure that we knew the stew and aged beef were their specialties! Price wise was really reasonable for a meal of such exceptional quality! Thank you for a lovely dinner experience!! I’d come back to Kitami just for this!
