Truly enjoyed our stay!! The check in process was a bit weird, i had to go to the 2nd floor to find someone since there is no designated reception area when we entered the first floor, but none the less we checked in. The gentleman that helped us was so kind and helpful despite the language barrier we had. I tried my best to communicate in japanese, but thankfully he was able to speak english so i was able to understand the information he was telling me. He would escort us to our rooms and showing each floor and what they offered as we moved towards our room. once in the room, he gave us a brief tour of what is offered, breakfast/dinner time and how the checkout process worked since we had to leave early tomorrow.
I enjoyed our room, it was very spacious! Loved that we had our own private onsen and the view of mt. fuji! it was such a beautiful resort. we didnt have time to go to the beach but it’s right in front of the hotel.
when it was time to checkout, we asked if they could call for a taxi but the staff later on informed us that the manager would be driving us to the station. im not sure if it’s because they knew of our situation (we informed the gentleman who helped us the day before) or it’s a complimentary service, but my fiance and i were utterly shocked with the service! i am so glad we were able to book this hotel and be helped with by such amazing staff. we will...
Read moreIt was unfortunate that the day we stayed the weather was so bad… It was raining non-stop so we could not enjoy the sunset nor the veranda.
Good points: Rooms are clean and spacious Free private hot spring. Rooftop Jacuzzi is with fee, but you can use Chiba-ken coupon while the region is in travel campaign. Friendly staff. Adequate facilities. Plenty of seafood, fresh and high quality.
Need to improve: Be noted that the menu is fixed. They do NOT alter the menu even if you cannot eat seafood. Breakfast is also Japanese style with lots of seafood. My husband basically had some pickles and tofu with rice only for both breakfast and dinner.
They do not provide cow milk (or actual milk) Only ミルク the very common cheap plastic cubes that we’re refrain to take. And later on we learned that they actually sell milk in their souvenir shop…
Food presentation maybe a bit disturbing if you don’t like seeing things moving on table… The abalone in particular. I lost my appetite completely after seeing it still pretty much alive, trying to get out of its shell because it was heating up underneath… Same to the lobster and fish head starring at me...
Read moreThe experience at beachside onsen yumi very satisfying. Staff not strong in English but used sincere effort to be best to make our stay wonderful. The staff picked us up from the local bus station and drove to the resort. We are very happy with our room with the private onsen and view of the beach. It was very relaxing and peaceful with the extra surprise being able to wear traditional clothing and variety of drinks. Dinner and breakfast was very tasty with the large abalone and sashimi with real wasabi. Food portions were appropriate and meals became an experience. Open roof onsen also fun and can be romantic. Other nice parts of hotel is the bar lounge for tea and small desserts and upper floor for reading and teas. Overall very happy with our stay and the hotel staff made...
