ホテルエルム石打 — Hotel in Minamiuonuma

Stayed here in Feb 2020. A fantastic location - left Tokyo on Shinkansen at 0704 and was on the slopes by 9 including ski hire which was available at the hotel. Ski in and out which is unusual for nap resorts. Pick up and drop off at the station was all included. The rooms are quite spacious by Jao standards. Ours has a toilet but shower is at the onsen which is open 24 hrs. Breakfast is a buffet style and dinner has ridiculous amount of food which were all very high quality.

The staff were all very helpful and even drove us to the local clinic when my sister injured her wrist. Couldn't ask for a better place.

The slopes are pretty decent, enough variety probably for 2 days but we didn't try to get to the other connected mountains.

A minor issue is the room window did not have blinds but we all got up pretty...

We had a great experience here, the staffs were very nice and helpful. English communication on e-mail or verbally are both good! We booked "stay+ 2 meal+ lift ticket" package and enjoyed it very much. Location- Just below 觀光口 slope, lift is 1 min walk, ski in/out is available. Room- Room is spacious and clean. Althoug there's no private bath in the room, the public bath (with hot tub) is 24H avaible and clean (free washing machine availbe at the bath). There's private toilet and sink in the room. Food- Both breakfast (all you can eat) and dinner (set menu) are delicious and the menu changes daily. Service- Free locker and gear rental availble. The rental price is good and the gears are in good condition. Free shuttle service from/to Echigo Yuzawa station...

We had a wonderful stay in the 8-tatami Mat room. Our room had a nice view of the town. The communal bath was very clean and relaxing. The hotel offers a shuttle pickup from the echigo-yuzawa train station on the day of check in and check out. The staff is very nice and professional. I would recommend to select the breakfast and dinner option because we discovered that most restaurants walking distance are not open for dinner unless it is a weekend. This is a great option for ski-in ski-out and the hotel offers both rental equipment as well as ski lift passes. Highly recommend and...
