Hotel Route Inn Numata — Hotel in Numata

This is a review for western people who are considering staying here. This is a new hotel so everything nice, clean and part of a chain. The room is small and bijou Japanese and good for a 1 or 2 night stay. It is self check in although there is someone at reception specially for us English speakers who can will help and do speak some English as long as it is not too complicated. There is a complimentary coffee machine in reception which is ok. Decent outside parking which is free. Unfortunately for us the restaurant in the hotel is closed on a Sunday and the town outside is deserted and dark after 6pm. We tried the suggested restaurants opposite the hotel which looked ok but they were all fully booked when we got there at 7. If you want these I would strongly suggest you book ahead or go before 6.30 at least. We walked around and could not find anywhere other than the ramen place but we were really needing the alcohol after discovering how extremely hard the beds were. We thought we would have to go to the 7/11 or drive out of town to the McDonalds. Fortunately we found a wonderful place called Kitchen Y (I think this was the name), walk out of the hotel and turn left. It is behind a sliding wooden door and was Absolutely brilliant, probably one of the nicest meals we have had in Japan. The seating is on the floor but ask if you want the seated tables (sort of seated on the floor but with the trough underneath for your feet so you can stretch your legs). The menu is in proper Japanese so you will thank goodness for google translate. By this time we were getting quite hungry and almost chickened out for pizza and pasta but were brave and went for a couple of the specials. One was a deep fried gammon cutlet with dip and the other was lettuce wrappers, they serve you with complimentary wasabi edamame which were not too mustardy. Everything was absolutely delicious, lovely ambience, friendly staff. Ask for the bottles of wine menu, not a huge menu but really good quality Italian wines at ridiculously good prices. Back to the hotel. The bed was really rock hard so make sure you have had a decent amount of alcohol before going to sleep in it. Decent sheets, we had to ask for an extra pillow as only one given. Mini fridge, decent air con, flatscreen TV. The bathroom is sort of a pod, very compact……the tap services both the sink and the shower..Breakfast was 7-9, very quiet at 8.30 when we arrived and everything we had was quite tasty. They have cereal, sausage, scrambled eggs, croissants, breads and various recognisable stuff, obviously a lot of Japanese stuff which we tried. Coffee was ok and they had hot green tea, several juices and water. All in all a very good hotel, but the beds really are a killer, the same as sleeping on the floor. We had booked a twin room and we actually doubled the duvet up and put it under the bottom sheet and slept with the double duvet cover over us, that and plenty of alcohol helped us sleep a little better. The hotel really should invest in some comfortable topper pads...

・2023年10月に出来た新築ホテルです。

・歩いて5分くらい（ ホテルから300m くらい ）のところに、セブン-イレブン 沼田西倉内町店というコンビニがあります。

・第4駐車場までありますが、駐車場料金は全て無料です。

・ECO（エコ）連泊しても、通常連泊しても… シーツの交換は3日に一度ですので、お風呂場をキレイにしてもらいたい人は通常清掃が良さそうですが、ベッドのシーツは３日に一回です。（ ecoというより、セコいので… seco清掃という印象です ）

・部屋着は他のルートインと同じ上下セパレートの甚平（ じんべい ）です。

・テレビは、シャープのAQUOS（アクオス）42型です。YouTube、Netflix、prime Video、Abema が観られます。ミラーリングは出来ません。（ NetflixとA prime Video は会員登録が必要です ）

・空気清浄機は、シャープの加湿機能付空気清浄機です。臭い空気しか出てきません。

・冷蔵庫のコンプレッサー音が、とても煩い（うるさい）です。（ 中国製 ）

・ベッドの脇にコンセントが２つありました。部屋の電気をベッド脇のスイッチで全て消せますし、リモコンでも部屋の明かりの明るさを調節出来ます。

・ソファの脇にもコンセントが１つとUSB型の差込み口で充電出来る様になっているのは凄いですね。

・お風呂の風呂桶が斜めになっていないので広いのですが、背中全体をゆったり（ 斜め45度的な角度になっているとゆったり背中を預けられるのですが）浴槽の壁が直角に設計されて、ゆったり出来ない構造になっていますので、ゆったりお風呂に浸かりたいかたは大浴場（1階にあります）に行きましょう。（ 浴室のガラスも過去一で汚いです ）

・風呂場内にドライヤーとドライヤー用のコンセントあります。

・掛け布団カバーはデュべカバーです。

・エアコンはダイキン製です。

・1階のコインランドリーには、女性専用コインランドリー部屋があります。

・ホテルの近くに食事出来るところが有りますが、不定休のところが多いようですので、ホテル内で食事をしたり、お酒を飲んだりするのも良いかもですね。

・ルートインコインでもらえるソフトドリンクですが… 麦茶がない！ （ 緑茶と強炭酸のレモン水と天然水ばっかり ）

・新築ホテルからオープンして2年も経っていないのに、部屋の中が独特な臭いがしますし… 空気清浄機からは臭い臭いがしますし… 朝食も美味しいとは言えないので… エアコンのファンの不協和音的な音が気になったり（ 屋上にエアコンのファンが沢山設置されています ）、独特な臭いが嫌いだったり（ ホコリと風呂入っていない人の汗臭と… 薄っすらとマヨネーズ風味の部屋の臭いのブレンド臭 )、新築なのに… 上の階の部屋と隣の部屋からの雑音が結構響いて気になる方（ 冷蔵庫のドアを力一杯締める音や冷蔵庫のドアの前のドアを締める音、風呂桶のふちが狭いのでシャンプーなどのボトルを三本同時に床に落としてしまう… 上の階からの衝撃音...

New hotel. Excellent location, centrally located. The decor is elegant. The room is spacious and has windows that can be opened. The large bed is comfortable.
