We couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at Kariyushi Beach Resort during our Okinawa getaway. The 1 hour and 15-minute drive from Naha Airport was a scenic introduction to part of the island , and upon our arrival, the warm welcome from the front desk staff, especially YERTISS, set the tone for our delightful stay.||Our room, featuring four single beds and a cozy three-seater sofa, exceeded our expectations. The balcony offered glimpses of the serene sea, providing a tranquil retreat. The cleanliness of the room, combined with the separate shower and WC(automatic bidet spray), love the shower gel & shampoo added to the overall comfort of our stay. There is built in hair-dryer, mini fridge and bedroom slippers which are very useful. The hotel is very environmental friendly and encourage guest to take what one needs for the amenitiessuch as toothbrush/haircomb/showercap/teabag (near the reception) before you head up. ||The nominal parking fee of Ā„500 per night was a reasonable fee, considering the ample parking space available. Despite the hotel being fully booked, the expansive grounds created a sense of spaciousness, ensuring a peaceful and uncrowded environment. The inclusion of a gym and indoor pool for guest use, as well as the option to indulge in the indoor onsen for a modest fee, added extra layers of relaxation to our experience.||Exploring the hotel further, we discovered a dedicated kids' section, a convenient laundry area at the amusement room section, the open pool though was closed during our winter visit. The hotel's thoughtful amenities truly catered to every need.||The complimentary breakfast was a highlight of our stay, featuring fresh and varied options. The convenience store within the hotel was an added bonus, ensuring we had everything we needed at our fingertips.||For dinner options, the nearby eateries, such as Colombin (steak house) and Okinawa-ryori Maruoki Shoten, provided excellent choices within a short 5-8 minute drive. Although we didn't dine at the hotel's buffet restaurants, we heard positive reviews from fellow guests.||A delightful surprise awaited us on Wednesday nightāa live performance in the foyer featuring Okinawa folk music. Despite the language barrier, the talented performers brought joy to the audience, creating a memorable and enjoyable evening.||In conclusion, our stay at Okinawa Kariyushi Beach Resort has been a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and entertainment. Okinawa's charm has been further amplified by this wonderful accommodation choice, and we look forward to creating more cherished memories here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis "resort" is in a very nice location with a private beach over seeing nature, city, and the ocean. I have to give them 2.5 stars for the feeling of nostalgia and some of the staff was friendly. |š¤·š¾āāļøI would have given them a 3.5 if it would not have been for the ride front desk staff, when my wife asked for child tooth brush. In an aggravated manner she raised her voice and said wait, then ignored us. |š¤¦š¾āāļøAfter checking in, when we got to ouršļø room and opens the door we was greeted with the overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. On the surface everything appeared great. The longer I stayed in the room the more I noticed, liked mold on the walls, wood furniture, packed dust in the air vents, picture frames. šš½The bathroom also had black mold on the curtain rod, in-between the wall tiles and in the rim of the sink. The kids didn't notice they where happy jumping in the beds. š¤¦š¾āāļøBreakfast was really great aside from the runny eggs and the under cooked fresh omelette, lol. Again the esthetics is not so pleasing. Kid chairs had food that hasn't been cleaned, the leather booth and seats where sticky. The corner of the wall was falling off, my daughter couldn't help but point that out to me. The wooden floor has not been polished in years and you can clearly see the scuff marks of chairs being dragged across the floor. |So it's not that bad if your not into staying at a clean facility. I mean if the guest spaces are this clean I can only imagine the cooking spaces.... |I really dislike writing negative reviews, so I hope this rent and the following advice will add value to the facility. |I've only noticed the cleanliness of the facility. There are several options to fix this, hire a company to come in and deep clean and replace old furniture, hire more staff, compensate staff for the quality of the work, or close a portion of the facility for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGood location , nice view . And these are all the good aspects I can say about this hotel .
Poor communicative competence at the reception . I suspect no receptionist could communicate with the guests fluently in English . (at least during our check-in and check out )
2 We booked a room with ocean view on top floor (5th floor) , and the receptionist gave us keys of one on the fourth floor . When we asked him if there ās any misunderstanding , he said āthere are only four floors in this hotel , fourth floor is the top floor ā while there ās apparently number 5 indicated in the lift . We genuinely donāt understand why he persisted in this non truthful info .
We were shocked by the unfriendliness of one particular receptionist (her name seen in the photo ) . When we tried to book the ticket for the shuttle bus to Naha airport , she told us the price would be 2200 yen, however 6 hours ago the price her colleague told us was 2000. When I pointed out the price difference , she started to yell at me as if I was trying to bargain , even though we showed her the price of 2000 yen written down on the paper of checkin guidance . She just got angrier and angrier , we eventually gave up communicating with her .( besides we all found her English hard to understand )
The quality of breakfast buffet is ok. But it was so packed that we had to queue up for almost 30 mins to get a takeaway box : of course there were not enough place for us to sit down and enjoy our first meal of the day
4 . We stayed in a four beds room , which is only 40 square meters . Each of us paid almost 100euro per night . With this price I would expect better service , less obsolete furnitures and one seat in the lounge for my breakfast , and I donāt think these requirements...
