guntu — Hotel in Onomichi

Took a short sailing on guntu last week and I must say the overall experience was world class. From the booking process, where they were super responsive to all queries, to the pre-boarding comms, to the exclusive boarding experience, everything was seamless. Once on board each guest was well looked after, pampered by each member of the guntu team. The attentive service, attention to detail, and warm hospitality was simply world class. This is truly a floating ryokan. The design and architecture of the boat was pure and elegant, giving one a feeling as if actually in a ryokan. The guest rooms are beautifully designed, with luxurious amenities. The onboard dining was world class, featuring the season’s freshest produce. The sushi bar experience was second to none. This was the family's third trip on board (first post Covid). Most enjoyable and we loved every bit of it. All the staff were attentive even though some do not speak English (who needs English when the service was already ultra impeccable). My top experience in Japan!!! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT... the ship, the service its another thing from this world, sakura for me dinning room, kc from the bar and the young boy from the spa (sorry i forgt his name, but i had one of the best massage of my life) I really didnt want to go down from the Guntu!!! AMAZING...
