Villa Shirahama — Hotel in Shimoda

Unique place! We spent one night and absolutely happy about it. Our room for two persons has fantastic ocean view at daytime and astonishing night sky observation at night time. And Sun rises just in front of the window!

There is a small kitchen in the room, so you can cook independently. Public BBQ with private tables available as well.

It’s hard to be bored. You can always play tennis. There is a slack line, small bouldering, yoga mats, trampoline for kids, skateboard zone.. probably there is something else. I wasn’t able explore it deeply.

Ideal place for those who likes nature and resilience. If you into luxury and fancy lifestyle, please avoid it. This place doesn’t deserve...

We have been overwhelmed by the hotel and the hospitality. The location is idyllic on a cliff top overlooking a beautiful bay. The onsen is open air and looks out to the sea. The staff couldn’t do more for us. Couldn’t recommend it...
