I've stayed here at least 4 times in the past few years and I think the place is decent, especially for the price. The location way up that hill and to the back can be daunting if you're carrying lots of stuff but the walk is really only about 8 minutes. There's no one at reception most of the time but it works. Bring your translator to be sure you can read the message on the front door as it may change but as of last month, it stayed there is no one at reception from one am to 3 pm, if I remember the times correctly. It also says you can use the parking before checking if any spots are available. I was on the second floor in the rear but the window faced front above the entrance and parking. The room is about a nine by twelve, had a small toilet room and a doorless shower/tub room with a curtain across the entrance. The bed was a double and fairly comfortable and there was a small flat-screen TV, couch and dresser with mirror. The a/c worked well and kept the room icy. There is a 500 yen per day usage charge for the a/c. There are towels and toothpaste, etc at the front. The staff are cool and relaxed and there was very little noise.
