Minshuku Pain-kan — Hotel in Taketomi

We happened to bump into Shin, the tour guide at Pine-kan, at Uehara Port. We had struggled to find any info in English at the port and Shin came over and started chatting (in excellent English). When we discovered he was a tour guide and seemed to have one of the most reasonable prices for a full day trekking and waterfall tour, we jumped at the chance and booked him for the next day.||As an English traveller with next to no Japanese, Shin was a real life saver. He gave us a fantastic tour, getting us up to the waterfall before the rest of the tourists, spotting many creatures in the jungle and rivers and explaining everything. We were able to quiz him on Iriomote, which restaurants were best (as again, the language was an issue with knowing where to eat). We followed his recommendations for eating and car / bike hire and he was spot on.||A real treasure - call the Pine-kan number and ask for Shin! Cannot recommend enough. ゴールデンウィークに二泊三日家族７人の大所帯で伺いました。|宿に着くと大きなパインの外観で、パイン館に来たことを実感ｗｗ|西表島の民宿では珍しい？お風呂付のお部屋を選びました。お部屋はとても清潔で、Ｗｉ-Ｆｉの繋がりも良好です。|食事はどれも味付けが良くとってもおいしく、釣ったばかりの新鮮な魚のお刺身も食べれて大満足。ご飯は自分で盛るスタイルでお腹いっぱい食べちゃいました。|滞在を通してこちらの宿の一番の魅力だと思ったところは、従業員さんのあたたかさです。皆さん笑顔で対応が柔らかく、とても気持ちの良い接客で、お客さんもリピーターの方が多いというのが頷けます。従業員さんのお子さんもおり、とても素直でかわいい子達で、うちの子供もすぐに仲良くなり連日お庭で遊んでいました。|初めての西表島への旅行がパイン館さんで本当に良かったです。幸せな気持ちになれる、そんな民宿でした。|一つだけ困った点は、ここが良すぎて今後の沖縄方面への旅行はここ一択になってしまったところです。とくに子供たちは「もうパイン館以外行かない！」と言っていますｗｗ|幸せな時間を過ごさせていただき、...
