Had a really relaxing stay in this cozy place. The host, Yamashita family, was so kind and very much knowledgeable about the island.||The dinner was stunning - various kinds of local tropical fish - most of which I had never had - was beautifully cooked and tasted so good. ||The fishing and snorkeling tour Yamashita family guided us was superb - they took us to various snorkeling spots where “ordinary” tours would not take tourists.||The room was very clean (never seen any insects in the room! which is quite rare in this island) and the price was quite reasonable.||The hotel is in the middle of the traditional “Hoshidate” village, which was quite fun to walk around.||Really recommend this place to those who would like to experience the local life in Iriomote while feeling “wind from the south” - the name...

Lastly, I don't hold this against them as some people might like it, but the included dinner is VERY Okinawan. If you are not accustomed to eating traditional Okinawan food, dinner might be difficult, even more so if you are not Japanese. Just something to...
