This is my second night at the Seapiross hotel on Hachijojima. The hotel is across the street from Sokodo beach. The hotel is one story, with both standard rooms and family size bungalows. The style has a lot of Balinese influence. I found my room to be comfortable and nice. It feels new. Easily comfortable for two people. This hotel includes two meals in the plan and the kaiseki dinner was really nice, consisting of local fish and Ashitaba, the local plant, dishes. It was generous and more than I could eat. It worked for the most part although there were a few misunderstandings!)||||The main downside was the location. It would have been fine had we had a car (I really recommend hiring one if going to Hachijojima), but it was the other side of the island from the onsen, waterfalls etc and about a 40 minute walk from the tourist information office. Trying to get to places (and more importantly, back again) with the infrequent bus service and prohibitively expensive taxis was less than ideal. It was far too cold to go to the beach while we were there, but the sea area in front of the hotel is right next to a quite industrial looking port, so I can't imagine it would be very inviting even in...
