I live in Toyama very close to this hotel. My husband and I needed a night away from the kids, so we used our miles and got a room. Without the miles, it would have been ¥20,000 for one night. A little high.

This is a new hotel, so the building and rooms are very clean and shiny. The carpet is soft. The floor in the shower is soft. The bed, needs to be a little softer, but that’s only because I have back problems. I need a very soft bed. The bathroom was very nice and modern. However, the mirror is not heated, like in most hotels. When you’re done with a shower, the mirror fogs up.

The staff was nice and friendly.

Why the missing star? The items in the bathroom, although made with some recycled goods, is wasteful. I never use the items in hotels because they are just thrown away and is bad for the environment. I forgot my hair brush and had to use the hotels. It was made from recycled goods, but, when done, it’s just thrown away. Hotels need to do better when it comes to the environment. More biodegradable goods please.

Also, no free onsite parking, or a voucher for offsite parking. You have to pay for parking yourself. I feel if hotels are going to charge you ¥20,000 a night, parking should be free.

Also, the breakfast was not worth ¥2,000. The eggs were powdered. Not a lot of choices/variety of foods. And, what’s with having giant silverware? I felt I was stabbing the back of my throat with the fork. And, they require you to wear plastic gloves when getting your food. More trash for the environment. And, they don’t enforce it with everyone. There was a young couple with no gloves on. Three employees looked in their direction, but never said anything. I was about to say something, but noticed the couple finally put on gloves.

I do recommend this hotel for staying, but not eating. It’s not...

There are some obvious logistical reasons not to stay in this hotel. For one its nowhere near the train line, you need to catch a twenty minute bus ride over multiple bridges to get to Ginza, a bus that is often crowded and late. This makes getting anywhere in a big city a logistical nightmare. Secondly although they do not advertise it, its connected to a hospital. When we arrived we had a creepy feeling as l don't particularly love going to hospital, but especially when im on my once a year trip. The staff do the essentials of their job, and that runs smoothly but they are completely rigid when it comes to their hotel rules. After spending over $200 per night l was didmayed when my 9 year old son was not allowed into breakfast. He does not eat much and it was only him and myself in the room, not two adults. They adjusted this once l brought it up, but I was made to feel like an inconvenience for asking. The breakfast isn't worth it anyway, as its tinned fruit and scrambled eggs made from powder. The most significant thing I encountered though was that the staff do not know how to use booking.com, but they seem willing to blame them for not refunding me $500.00 in error because they would not accept PayPal only credit card when I first booked the room (or the $200.00 for the night that I did not stay there $700.00 AU in total.) Despite my terrible experience, l did not ask for a full refund but simply asked them to refund the money when I checked out early. Again they said no, blaming booking.com, but refusing to actual email booking.com only attempt to phone them. I had a thousand times better service at the small hotels l stayed at along the way for far less money, and I live in hope that I get any of the money back that l was...

Great hardware - clean and big rooms, facilities, coin laundry machines, easy parking and helpful parking attendant, easy to walk to station.

TL;DR: Cannot/will not send luggage for you depending on which clerk you meet, despite calling ahead to check and confirm. Anyone who’s keen to use luggage shipping service through hotel my experience is detailed below.

Before checking out on the day before, we confirmed with the front desk that they were able to help us ship our luggage to our next hotel. I was very specific that it’s a big luggage and only needed it to arrive 6 days later. However on the day of checkout, the front desk told me they were using a “small company” and cannot do the shipping for us due to “bad weather”. Hence we had to drag 2 big and 1 small luggage through the thick snow and bash through to the station. I could tell that the 2 female clerks wanted to try and help find a solution but the male clerk who was obviously more senior was very condescending and didn’t want to help - I felt detested by him and didn’t feel welcome at all, and felt like a fly he wanted to shoo off. I’d also clarify in no way were we rude but simply wanted a solution if things changed overnight due to bad weather but he just...

Loved this hotel! we got a connecting twin room and the rooms were very big, spacious but not really a lot of room for large suitecases to be opened up. In each room, they provide you with some tea bags and 2 coffe capsules to use in the coffee machine in each room. Beds are quite large and theres a sofa. The bathrooms are relatively new and modern and all amneties are provided in the bathroom. In terms of facial products, they give you 1 cleansing oil, cream, face cream and I think that was it. Not sure why they only provide 1 when you book a room for 2. same with the cotton pads. no body lotion. USB charging available, dont remember if there was a microwave or not. bottled water provided in each room. In terms of location: VERY convenient. Around 7 minutes walk to main bus/train station. 3 minutes walk to shopping mall with restaurants and a lot of shops.

Rooms are big-sized compared to other hotel rooms in Japan, with modern interior and a high standard of cleanliness. The hotel location is very strategic. We only had a night here and checked in quite late, but we managed to explore the city a bit by foot due to strategic location. I have some notes on a few things that could be improved, though. First, the breakfast system. We had to queue and if it’s during breakfast peak hour, the queue could get long—not so ideal if you’re in a rush to do the next thing you planned in your itinerary. Other than that, the ability of the receptionist staff in speaking English could be improved too. I wanted to borrow a pair of scissors and had to use sign language and it got a bit confusing for both of us until I used Google Translate.
