This hotel may be a bit remote, but that’s exactly what makes it so peaceful—and absolutely perfect if you’re hoping to catch the sunrise. While you can’t see Mt. Fuji directly from the room, you only need to step out onto the road in front of the hotel to get an incredible view. I highly recommend waking up early to watch the sunrise over Mt. Fuji—it’s truly unforgettable. The hotel also offers bicycle rentals, which is super convenient. I strongly recommend biking along the nearby cycling and walking paths; there’s a beautiful lakeside area with stunning, unobstructed views of Mt. Fuji, and best of all, it’s completely quiet with hardly anyone around. The owner is very warm and welcoming. We rented a car so we didn’t need the free station pick-up service, but it’s great that they offer it—it makes getting there easy even without a car. Just make sure to buy any food or drinks you’ll need in advance, since there aren’t any stores or restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious, well-equipped, and had a lovely traditional Japanese inn vibe. It was such a relaxing stay—I’d highly recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere peaceful with a touch of...

First, a lady who couldn’t speak a lot of English or Japanese showed us to our room and didn’t provide a proper explanation for anything. They seemed to have a public bath but upon closer inspection of the building, there was nothing. Furthermore, it felt like we were staying at a family’s private house as there were just stuff lying around (we found a random toothbrush and toothpaste in the 1st floor toilet). Location wise, it’s not too bad as there’s a public bus that goes really close to the hotel but it’s a bit far from everything else so we would recommend getting anything you need...
Read moreStayed at the hotel for 2 days and liked everything. The hotel has its own distinctive vibe. It reminded of the hotels from the movie "The Shining" or "Twin Peaks". The rooms are very cozy, but at the same time spacious. And most importantly, we liked how the proprietress and you helped with everything and were very responsive. They also helped us with the transfer, for which special thanks.Well, there are many other things I liked: renting bikes is a real treat, it was very convenient to get around; breakfast is delicious and filling. If you want to stay in the Fuji area, you won't find a better option...
