Okay where do I start? ||First of all the location is very good walking distance to my restaurants, coffee shops, shopping centers,.... the lobby is outdated, so is the restaurant and the rooms, maybe 2/5 stars in modern world standers. The in-room survive make great food, but super expensive (you can get better foot for a fraction of the price within walking distance) day time looked like a normal hotel. BUT at night all that changes upside-down. Apparently the hotel has one of the most famous night clubs in Amman( which later on I’ll discover it’s actually a high end prostitution bar) , the girls filled the lobby, the metal detector were activated and it literally became a prostitution center. I had to find out for my self what kind of night life they had, it was a prostitution center where men come here and spent 1000s of dollars to hand out, drink and dance with prostitudes, and at the end of the night, they check in the hotel and bring them upstairs. if you come with family try to stay in your room after 10pm. 0% children friendly. AND ALL OF THIS IS NOT EVEN THE BAD PART the next morning I woke up of with no power, no phone line, or hot water. I used the emergency escape stares to go to the lobby which by then was flooded with water (a big rainstorm have hit and the hotel had no preparation for it) I gathered my belongings and ordered a taxi so I can go to a place that at least had power. I thought out of curiosity they would maybe Knock off a few bucks, but nothing he charged me the full rate for a horrible 2 nights. ||PS. Be careful of the hotel’s taxi drivers, don’t let them take you anywhere beside your destinations. They’ll promise to take you to places they would recommend, DONT FALL FOR IT. these are shake down places and the taxi drivers are affiliated with them and get a cut for every...
Read moreThe taxi driver dropped me at the Rama Hotel and waited around trying to persuade me to pay twice the proper fare. I had asked for Meter but he had not used it.||The Hotel receptionist was no better. The price on the board for a night's stay was 70 JOD, about 75 English. He said he would give it to me for 60 JOD and that there would be a better rate for the next night. Booking.com rate was 47JOD.||The place was old and tired. A lick of paint and judicious use of the vacuum cleaner in the corridors would have improved matters. The room was shown to me before I agreed to book in and it was very reasonable.though the bath had no plug so a shower was the only option.||My decision to use the swimming pool on the ground floor was interesting. I have mobility problems so chose to descend what looked like two runged stainless stepladder. Imagine my surprise when the lower step did not hold and I fell backwards into the pool! ||There was no evening meal. The breakfast was poor. Powdered instant coffee. ||I left...
Read moreWe spend time at Rama hotel Amman in July 2019.Me and my husband. We got a nice normal clean quiet room with a comfortable king bed. There were ready for both: clean towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, WC toilet papers, There was an airconditioning whitch you can do control for temperature.. Also we ate breakfast. And I used sunbathig at pool. The staff was nice and helpful. I m reading all rewiews here and can t understand to those people. The hotel Rama is 3 stars hotel. You can t expect everything as at 5 stars hotel! I did not use any night club I was interested about the city and historical monuments. So we didn t care if someone visited this night club or not. It depend on all people. Also if someone want to visit Amman just for drinking alcohol or something else then ca t be angry to this hotel. I m from EU and we have hight standard for our hotels, but I was...
