Total disappointment from the 2nd day breakfast time (we stayed 4 nights). That 2nd day when heading to breakfast, a waiter (Mrs. Danagul) and the cook available at that time were the rudest person we have met during our whole trip in Kazakhstan, we asked for crepes and they say it was not available when it was actually because half an hour later they came back and proposed some which was only laziness from the cook. We then asked for croissant and the waiter (still Mrs. Danagul) stated that we were late for breakfast and this on an unfriendly way and this is why croissants were not available. Also the omelet I’ve requested was burnt (attached picture). The waiter seemed really annoyed dealing with guests that day and this surprised me so I decided to inform the management. I went to the reception to complain on this poor customer service, but seems that my complaint was just one in the middle of many others, and then no action will be taken. I then decided to write an email to the management (Mrs. Gulmira the hotel manager). Having visited more than 65 countries and stayed in a lot of 4 and 5 stars hotels, I do know what hospitality is and we expect only the minimum we became frustrated not getting it. The answer of Mrs. Gulmira was a generic one and talking about training of its staff as if I was a hospitality consultant which was not the case, I was just a guest between others. Last 2 days, without being informed, we had no hot water. We had to shower yesterday night using wooden bucket and kettle to heat the water (attached pictures), this is not acceptable in the 21st century to handle issues that way. I do not think I’ve been exigent when looking for hot water, minimum availability of products offered in breakfast but what I am sure is that I’ll stick on my IHG, SPG and Accor brands in the future. That’s the last time I’ll be staying in a Wyndham branded hotel both business and...
Read moreWe were staying here one week in August. The hotel itself is in close proximity to Mega Silk way shopping mall, Astana Grand mosque build in 2022, botanical garden. The hotel provides you with free bikes ( they are old, no bell, not very comfortable and sometimes dangerous for biking but they are free). The best biking routes and most safe are in botanical garden.||But back to the hotel.|The rooms are spacious, cleaned every day, have drinking water and tea/ coffee facilities. Beds are comfortable and the room was a quiet place for sleeping.||The personeel is very polite and attentive, receptionist will help you with taxi or any other questions.|They have fitness room with treadmills if you want to stay in shape. I was trying it out once.||The breakfast is excellent. I was enjoying freshly made omelette every day. They have big selection of hot food, fruits, pastry.|You'll definitely find something to enjoy.||Small tips for management: it would be nice to have plastic bag in the garbage bin for hygienic reasons both in the main room and in the bathroom. It's a normal practice in a hotel. When I once asked a cleaning lady for it, she said that no, they don't have it.|For the rest it was a nice stay and good value...
Read moreWe could see the biggest mosque in Asia across the street from our room, without hearing the sound of adzan prayer calls. It is clean. The rooms are a good size. It has a gym, spa, and sauna. We like the taate of the food. Unfortunately it is a bit far to get anywhere. The closest would be Nur Alem Future Energy Museum and Mega Silk Mall which is a decent walk. To get anywhere else you need to take a taxi or order through apps like yandex go, uber kazakh or ID. You need to have a SIM card for that, otherwise even if the receptionist might be able to help you from the hotel, you need a way to get back. It costs about 2000 Tenge for the 8 km trip to the city center where you'll see Baiterek Tower, Khan Shatyr and the Presidential Palace. The no.10 bus also goes there from the corner of the block but you need a tap card or an app that is impossible for tourists who don't speak...
