What an incredible experience we had in this lovely hotel. We spent one week in Pinewoods during our safari holidays. Food is always on a high level, very delicious and a good variety of choice for everyone. People are very hardworking, friendly and caring, everywhere you go, you will find stuff who is happy to help and provide a good service. I was really impressed with the amount of plants and flowers. Unfortunately we didn't take many pictures, but trees and bushes were watered every day, gardeners worked hard every day. We had dinners in different parts of the hotel, we liked the swimming pool area and beach restaurant. The whole hotel and rooms are designed very well in African style. We stayed in the Garden room with a big living room and bedroom. Cleaning service is also very good, the smells in hotel and rooms are really pleasant. Ocean had really good waves and a high level of water around 4-6 pm, which is the perfect time to have a swim and not get any sunburn. We didn't use any sunscreen and went to the beach after 3 pm. But I highly recommend using sunscreen at 12- 2 pm if you go to the beach. Hotel doesn't have an ATM, it is located in shopping centre 20 mins drive. If you want to stay in a hotel without driving anywhere I would recommend getting some cash in the airport or shop before you arrive at the hotel. Cash needed only for tipping stuff and buying gifts from local shops/people on the beach. There are options to go snorkeling or windsurfing, we didn't try but we saw many people do it.

Such a wonderful place! The hotel is in the middle of a beautiful garden with amazing flowers. There are also fishes and birds, and even some monkeys. There is a beautiful and big swimming pool with a balloon for kids, a ping-pong table, a gymnastic room and even a spa room. The most impressive is that at the end of the hotel is an endless white sand beach! There is also Captain Alpha, just near the hotel on the beach that offers diving session on a catamaran. We had a big family room, garden view with outside bed and table, and air conditioning. The only thing that could be improved would be to separate toilets from bathroom and to have communicative rooms to separate kids and parents space. At last but not least as it is the most important, all the staff is so so so nice! You are treated like a king, they do absolutely everything so you feel perfectly well, even for the children. I will conclude with the food. The breakfast is amazing with pancakes, waffles, eggs, fruits,… The diner could be served around the swimming pool or on the beach, it’s magical! You have a large choice, barbecue or live cooking and it’s changing each day. The desert menu is also so good, especially their puddings! You could also have cocktails. You could also have night concerts. For sure if we go back to Kenya, we will go there! The only constraint I could find is that the hotel is far from everything but it is the price to pay to be alone!

Stayed at Pinewood Beach Resort & Spa with my wife for 5 days on our honeymoon following a week long safari. Everything about our stay was excellent. The resort itself is stunning and feels massive when you actually walk around! The staff were all amazing, so kind, friendly and helpful, every one of them always chatting to us and willing to go the extra mile to make our stay the best it could be. We booked into a Deluxe Garden Suite and it did not disappoint. Very spacious and clean, top quality bathroom with good working showers. Great outside space as well which was an added bonus. Pinewood is lucky enough to also have a private section of the beach too which is one of the many great perks of staying! I would definitely recommend upgrading to all inclusive if your budget permits. The food and drinks (soft and alcoholic) were really good and we're glad we made the upgrade! The only thing I could even remotely take any issue with would be the location, only from the point of view that it is quite secluded so any day trips away from the resort really have to be planned, taking into account transport. This wasn't a problem for us but I could see it being a negative for some. Overall though, absolutely loved our stay, cannot recommend enough and will certainly look to return in the future!
