Pros:|1) A comfortable bed and mosquito nets that aren’t damaged. |2) A kind and helpful manager and i mean he is nice and does the basic minimum which is more than i could ask for considering that i booked my stay a week in advance to arrive after a 9 hour bus to be told the hotel is full. I wasnt gonna have it. I think he felt sorry for me and he gave me a room that he apparently was going to give another guest that just showed up a few hours earlier. I was glad he gave me as it was only fair that i booked a week in advance. By the way he told me they’re no cabs outside and i should just hop on a tuk tuk. Which i did. Good recommendation by the way. I also|Left my bags with manager who placed them in his office. Very grateful. |3) cheap price 2000 KES per night. |4) safe neighborhood. ||Cons:|1) no wifi at all and there’s No A/C. |2) Very Rude restaurant staff. Dont even bother asking for a menu. The staff just roll their eyes and will mumble under their breath about how the chef is not around (12:30pm on a weekday) or mumble what they cook can make when he comes of he will. In the morning during breakfast the just plop the plate(of actually good food) on your table and walk away. No greeting, no welcome, NOTHING. The service is so poor that i opted eating else where during my stay to as much as i could. The restaurant is located on the first floor for breakfast and there’s is a roof top bar also serviced by the same rude and grumpy staff. |3) My goodneess the housekeeping takes FOREVER, i left at 8am and came back aroud 1pm. The third floor where i was staying hadn’t even been touched by her. Its not her fault really. The hotel is serverly understaffed. The manager who is actually nice apologises with a shared confusion with me. I offer to leave again and come back at 4pm to find that house keep is just about done with my room. ||All in all this hotel is not a honeymooners paradise. This place is very basic and you are literally paying for the bare minimum in hotel standards, even for Kenya. So|I can’t complain as much. It is true you get what you pay for. |I will come back and stay to sace money during the Mombasa...
