Grey Pearl Apartments — Hotel in Malindi Town ward

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Grey Pearl Apartments during my visit to Malindi, Kenya, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations.

Enjoyed our stay, we were there for 2 nights, took the studio apartment. A good kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and utensils. There was a flat screen TV and wifi so you can login to your Netflix, Hulu,HBO, prime etc. The studio has both AC and ceiling mounted fan for your preference. For a studio for two people, the kitchenette maintains only two of everything, max! I think maybe they should allow for extras because if you want to make a meal with more than two courses 🤷. Oh and being in Malindi, expect power outages albeit not a lot. Almost forgot, the water at the kitchenette sink is hot, which is good. You can also get hot water at the shower-sink, but I believe with malindi weather you'd prefer cool shower right?! Oh and before i forget, the property is in a secure environment, access to the premises requires key access and there are two security gates which you must open to access the premises. Good thing is you get the keys for all the security gates, plus every unit has an extra security door. I visited my friend when her apartment had no electricity. The management was not cooperative and didn't find solutions for her when she is just in the dark. Her apartment was very hot and I had to leave soon after. There were also dead bugs on the plates and bugs crawling over the utensils, the place is not as clean as the other reviewers claimed it to be.
