There were several beach boys but they were not aggressive and respected personal space if ignored or politely told "no thanks". At the entrance by the main road is a free and clean seating area open to the public.

I rate the beach 3 stars as it was not as clean during my visit and a man demanded money once he saw me taking a picture of a wrecked boat that was just lying there at a public beach!!! Which I perceived as bizarre. However, despite this, I enjoyed barefoot walks at the beach and I could see the Vasco da Gama pillar as well as fishermen's boats which was really cool.

Muggings happen on a daily basis here and local authorities don't intervene. Avoid this beach by any means necessary. Go to the southern beaches that are part of a resort or...
