I booked this hotel for 1 month in advance to enjoy the Christmas holiday on Dec 9, 2020. I was in touch with the property and requested even for airport pickup. well, which was not being offered hence I had to find my ride from the airport. Upon arrival, I met a lady at the reception and a guy who I would say were ok in terms of services!. I showed them the booking voucher that I had received from booking.com upon booking my stay at this property. The lady-mentioned booking.com gave the wrong rate and I had to add double the amount to stay with them. "I guess they thought I had a fake voucher or something " I downloaded a new voucher from booking.com to confirm that the rate is what I received upon booking. Some guy came over and mentioned that the rate is too low and the owner has asked I pay more. Mind you this is the rate readily available on booking.com.To cut the story short, an Indian guy( assuming the owner) came over and told the receptionist not to give me a room until I pay the new rate. He was rude and arrogant and don't have respect for customers or whatsoever. I am not sure if he was waiting to receive another person in the hotel or he did that because I was African. ||This hotel is a fraud center they market different rates on booking.com to catch customers, then upon arrival, they change the rate and charge you double to make double profits. What a scam FLimFlam property! stay away from this so-called double heart resort. This is a real double scammer...

Read moreThe hotel is in a quiet and serene place yet its just a walking distance from the Malindi business district. The Nakumatt supermarket and the famous Stardust and Patapata night clubs are just 2-3minutes drive with the tuktuk taxis.||The best rooms would be the suites which have both the AC and fan and a small fridge. The standard rooms are quite squeezed for space and just have a fan.||The hotel is clean and well maintained with a big centrally located pool. It is also not crowded giving you a bit of peace and relaxation. ||From the hotel we visited the Sabaki river/Indian ocean delta which is just about 15mins in a tuktuk. The Malindi Pier, vasco da gama pillar, Malindi marine park are some of the interesting place around easily accessible in the tuktuks.||The staff were friendly, breakfast was sumptuous and we managed to get some lovely kitchen ladies make us some favourite dishes we had missed from home that were not on the menu. ||Just a few things to improve, install underwater lights in the pool for a late night swim, make the hot water regular and available all the time and request some employees not to be over friendly or over courteous :-) sometimes its not advisable to overdo it.||We will...
