Really enjoyed our stay at Villa Malindi! Exceeded our expectations!|It is not a big hotel - I was told there are only 8 apartments on site, however all rooms are very spacious and clean, high ceilings. There is an air conditioner, also a celling fan. The super king sized bed was huge and had a frame with mosquito net around the bed. We stayed in the penthouse which was very spacious , it had a balcony with 2 sun loungers, there were 2 bathrooms with walk-in shower rooms and a fridge. There was also a desk and WiFi connection. |There are two outdoors swimming pools in the middle of the hotel - a small circular one for children and a larger pool for adults. The pools are connected with a "waterfall" feature. Sun loungers with towels also little tables for drinks next to the pool. We had cocktails by the pool and freshly squeezed juices.|The hotel offers a breakfast and a dinner included in the package. The 4-course dinner menu is different every day, there in an on-site chef which cooks some amazing food. Fish and seafood particularly was fantastic - we were told that it is all locally sourced and fishermen bring fresh fish, lobsters and prawns to the kitchen every day for the chef to select the food. During our 7 night stay there was an Italian cuisine dinner (nice pasta) and also a Swahili cuisine dinner with grilled fish and spicy chicken.|The breakfast menu had eggs, freshly baked croissants and African sweet buns, also pancakes with honey as well as sausages and bacon. There was also an option to have cereal and yoghurt for breakfast. Really great freshly squeezed passion fruit and mango juices, fruit salad and coffee.|Alex - the hotel manager is very helpful and his presence and attitude is what makes this hotel so great. It really brings a family atmosphere to the place as Alex treats every guest as his own personal guest . Alex met us at the Malindi airport, drove to the hotel and also took us to many excursions and remote beaches. |Speaking of the beach - the nearest beach is just across the road from the hotel.|There is also a relaxation area at the hotel with many sofas, a large TV screen and a PlayStation gaming console.|Forgot to mention the massage booth and the amazing massage lady Elizabeth.|The whole place is very green with palm trees and plants all over the places.||Overall we had a great and enjoyable stay! Thank you Alex and Villa Malindi - we...

I have been all over Kenya, but I don't think I have ever been to a more beautiful, intimate, and ideal place as Villa Malindi. The staff were amazing - from the Massai guarding the gate, to the servers, chef, and housekeeper. Alex, the manager is super friendly and helpful and picked me up from the airport. The food was AMAZING. Their trained chef prepares two choices in a four course meal every night - it was exquisite. I keep wondering where I was - this place was such a welcomed retreat. It's an easy walk to the beach (3 minutes). Alternatively, you can take one of the tuk tuks parked just outside the gate and head into town (50-10 mins) for 200 shillings, or take a tuk tuk or boda boda 3 mins down the road to the the Billionaires beach. I had the beach all to myself over the weekend. Malindi is a small, historic city that is safe at almost anytime of day. Security at Villa Malindi is incredible - with hourly checks on the guards by a private security firm. If you ever visit Malindi, there is only one place to stay. I am already planning my return. Thanks, Alex for your incredible staff and service at the little piece...

We stayed at Villa Malindi for 3 nights in April and will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Malindi. Highly recommend! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the rooms had everything we needed, most importantly a new AC unit in both bedrooms that kept us cool all night, power and a backup generator! Many of the small hotels we stayed at around coast had no back up so this was a huge relief for us. The owner, Alexander, was so welcoming and helpful. There are two parts to the villa, one with more traditional hotel rooms and the other side where the 2 bedroom unit includes a kitchen. We opted for the one with the kitchen and it was so convenient to heat up a small lunch for the kids, etc. highly highly recommend staying here!

The property is well maintained , private , clean and strategically located with close proximity to the beach as well as major tourists attractions like the Marine park, Malinid Museum, Vasco Da Gama Pillar within walking distance. The host Alex is proactive, super helpful and friendly. The staff at the property are warm and friendly as well . Delicious meals and we enjoyed a variety of cuisine from swahili to Italian. The rooms are clean and spacious . Excellent amenities for entertainment and wifi … I would recommend for both small groups and large groups .

Best hotel i have ever stayed in! Very attentive and friendly staff, delicious food and a different, exquisite menu every day. The owner takes meticulous care of everything; he even went so far as to take us back to the airport all the way to security control. Many opportunities presented to go to different destinations, have unique experiences, visit beautiful places. Facilities are very clean and comfortable. Deserves 6 stars!!
