Eden House — Hotel in Malindi

For me, this was the perfect place to stay. The rooms was much bigger than expected, and very well equipped. The owner Ruth was the most caring possible, taking frequent rounds, talking to everyone to make sure they were happy and that everything was okay. We got more a feeling of being friends visiting, than paying guests. When minor issues, it was fixed immediately, without applying "African time schedule". The pool area is very nice, and unusual comfortable. Not only having good sunbeds and matresses, but also hammocks and sitting groups. Even completed with a massage bed. And the pool couldn't have been any cleaner. The kitchen had a big frigde, with a good freezer. Even a semi professional toastmaker, microwave and a good gas cooker with a oven. Plenty of plates and glassware. And a lot of utensils. Beds had good mattresses. And bedroom a well functional air-conditioning. All other rooms had big ceiling fans. The living room was big and comfortable, and there was even a big dining area. Still our favourite was the spacious outdoor private area, with sitting group and another dining area. The whole place got a "cosy home" atmosphere, that's rare to find. I will highly recommend Eden house cottages, both for the apartments, outdoors common areas and the hospitality and service. I had the pleasure of staying at Eden House in Malindi from 1st December to 8th December, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property offers a tranquil and cozy atmosphere with a classy swimming pool, yet is conveniently close to several beautiful beaches, including Malindi Beach, Silversands Beach, Golden Beach, and Turtle Bay in Watamu. The serene ambiance and elegant interiors made it a perfect retreat, while its proximity to attractions like the Vasco Da Gama Pillar, Malindi Marine National Park, the Gede Ruins, and Watamu Marine National Park made exploring the stunning coastline easy. Ruth and her team provided exceptional hospitality, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay. I highly recommend Eden House for anyone seeking a relaxing yet adventurous getaway...

I would not advise anyone to stay here, this is from an experience that made us almost call the police.

We checked in our little sister at the cottages for her birthday, just to relax and enjoy the coastal town, only for a bunch of 8 (four male. 4 female) guests to check in next to her and start harassing her while intoxicated.They pushed her into the swimming pool and one even burnt her with a cigarette lighter.

The worst bit is that the owner, her name is Ruth, condoned this just because the guest were regulars.
