Kozi Suites Nairobi, is a good resting place for the long transits and when you are visiting Nairobi, Kenya. Their first point of touch with you is the airport pick-up, always on time and very spacious heated or air-conditioned cars depending on the time of season you come. They have boards with your name on and the drivers have ID which is very crucial. Rooms are so neatly kept and the colour blending of the interior decor is awesome, bedding are new and very well kept. There are Heaters in the rooms , hot water, even hot water at the sink. Each room has its own kitchen which it you prefer can cook for yourself. Tv, good internet with awesome staff makes Kozi Suite an awesome place for us world travelers . We yearn for a long stay one day. Breakfast is good and in a very tidy space but they are not very generous as they serve small portions of food, no buffet like other places we went to, and the portions are small, not much variety to choose from but it's a transit so you are sure to get more at the airport. Hahaha and if you are brave the airline food to top up. Great place all in all and very close to the airport . They knew when our flights would leave and woke us up before time making us feel like...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you are looking for a place close to the NBO /JKIA airport, Kozi is the right choice.
The rooms are clean, with modern furniture, comfortable bed and a little kitchen (for making tea or cofee, teapot is available, sink, fridge and microwave). No stove.
The bathroom is also nice only when you shower the floor in the whole bathroom gets wet, there is no separation or courtain.
The pool is refreshing but there are little to none seating opportunities available (no chairs) only one niche.
The restaurant has very limited choices and is a bit overpriced but still better than nothing. If you don't mind walking 10-15 mins or taking a car to the nearby Gataway mall, they have a food court and a restaurant called Mavericks with broader options and better prices. The area is safe to walk (during the day at least) and you can take a moto taxi on the way back (max 100 Ksh).
The staff in the hotel is very nice. They let me store my big suitcase while I was off to Lamu and let me hang out and change at the hotel while I was waiting for my flight.
If you want to get to the airport, Kozi has a luxury shuttle (1500 Ksh) or you can use uber (500-700 Ksh).
Kozi is a great oasis in the dusty and busy...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePros: 1. Large space of one bedroom apartment with living room and pantry Restaurant open 24/7 (at your expense, no breakfast included but thereās an english breakfast selection for KSH 9000) A ten minutes ride from the airport - took me less than Ā£3 with Uber. Nice rooftop restaurant and pool facility
Cons: 1. Smelly bathroom sewage Lack of air circulation - or hear loud loading truck sound all night or mosquitos entering if you open the small ventilation window and the balcony door - your choice Loud fridge sound Wifi does not work at all (I was connected to a network once in a while, but it still wasnāt working) No hair dryer, plates or cutleries available (I mean thereās a microwave, fridge and sink, so I donāt understand why) No hot shower - expect cold water, at least in my room
My take: If youāre just looking for an upgrade from āsleeping at the airport for 6-8 hoursā, which you canāt do in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi anyway, itās ok for the price ($33) considering the proximity to the airport - maybe you end up saving more by taking Uber instead of the aiport transfer, and you get a proper place to rest and clean up before your...
