Leaders Plaza Salmiya — Hotel in Salmiya

Hi All, I just want to say that the hotel in itself has great location not far from the sea.... Regarding the room: they look good at first and then when you look at it closely you will find few hiccups such as the state of the bathroom, the stains on the coffee table, dust on the bedside table... However, despite all this I just like to warn any english speaking person that the reception is barely speaking any other foreign language than arabic or indian. My friend and I checked out of the hotel and asked for the luggages to be taken downstairs, when we came back later they asked us to pay a whole day so 150KD. Martina who was at the reception desk does not understand english! We expressively repeated 3 times " we are checking out, please get our luggage downstairs and we will pay for your cloakroom service", with confirming with her 3 times. She called us LIAR! Threatened to call the police on us! we stayed 7 days and during those days we had to ask the reception 5 times for house keeping, we received our breakfast twice and the other days nothing! even after calling them. We ordered coffee received capuccinos! I don't understand why such hotel asking for a price of 70KD to 115 KD a night would employ such incompetent people, rude and ignorant. Finally we've settled the matter with her manager who speaks english! Therefore I WOULD LIKE TO WARN ANY FOREIGNER NOT SPEAKING ARABIC TO...

Great location and friendly staff, especially in the reception when we checked in. Managed to get a super discount with one of the booking apps so definitely worth the value I paid.

Large apartments with many amenities. Large hall/living space, small master bedroom, good size kitchen, 3 bathrooms, washing machine, ironing board, fridge, microwave, kettle and coffee/ tea maker.

The negative points were: There were no towels in the apartment. When I asked they only brought 2 hand towels and said the bath towels were still in the laundry (4pm) and by 6pm they would arrive. I went out and came back in the evening only to find I still didn't have bath towels. When I called reception they sent someone who brought me 1 hand towel and said the bigger towels were in the laundry and would arrive in 10mins (around 11pm ish) which never happened. Why didn't they save 2 towels for my room when they had come from the laundry knowing that I had asked in the afternoon? I waited for 20mins and still no towels. I called reception again and they informed me that the towels still hadn't arrived from the laundry and unfortunately they NEVER came.

Hotel in general needs some maintenance: Sink water pipe in one of the bathrooms was leaking and the sofa was stained. Otherwise and overall...

Catuion: Don't deal with the nearest laundry(bilang).

Firstly, I must commend the exceptional customer service that is clearly a core value of this hotel. Each staff member I encountered was not just professional and efficient, but also warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to ensuring my comfort. Especially Mr Mark, his service was flawless. It's evident that they've mastered the fine art of hospitality.

The immaculate cleanliness of the hotel is another aspect that stood out. The housekeeping staff does a remarkable job of maintaining hygiene standards, making sure every corner is spotless and every surface is sanitized.

Location-wise, this hotel is a dream. Nestled in the eastren heart of the city, it offered easy access to a range of the beach, dining, shopping, and sightseeing options. Yet, despite its central location, I was amazed by the tranquility that pervaded the property, offering a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle.
