Krista, Guest House — Hotel in Jūrmala

First minus was an owner of this place - she wanted to send her messages in english or german. As I sent her messages in english - she started writing to me in Russian that I didn't mention that i know, because i do not. As we called her, because she is usualy not in guest house - she started speaking to me in russian, then changed it to german - I'm lucky that my girl knows some german because otherwise it would be really bad. Whats the worst i think it was as she told me in russian that i almost didn't understand - that we can spend there 2 nights and after 12 AM we have to dissapear. It's a shame that on booking it was signed as we have to give back keys at 1 PM, what's more it's really rude to say something like this after your client payed you for accomodation. Bathroom was terrible - we had to get some free cosmetics in price of the room, so we didn't worry about getting some shampoo, because we've lost ours - and here was the suprise - the only free cosmetic stuff in there was a liquid soap. Flush button in the toilet was broken and we had to menage how to deal with this problem. In our room there was even motion detector - I think its sick to leave it on when you have guest in house... And creme de la creme - swimming pool - old, dirty and full of dead bugs and spiders, we wanted to find sauna described somewhere, but there wasn't something like this. I would not...

Not a fancy place but ok.||There is no AC, so it could be too warm at hot summer. There is also a small grill outside, and a trampoline, so it is not too nice to try to sleep when you keep your windows open. There may be noise on the garden! ||Staff does not speak English. And the stuff is not there all the time. It may be a problem to arrive earlier (than check in), to even leave your luggage. And there is no toilet to use before check in.||||Wifi was not working at all. There is two wifi networks, but those were not working. Also tv worked some times, sometimes not at all.||Linen were too short for the beds, so it was not too nice to sleep there when linen were not as it should. Positives: great big baths! VERY close to the beach.

Negatives: tired, outdated, dirty, poor communication, no option for early checkin, no option for airport shuttle (as advertised), no option to eat anywhere but your room - but no facilities in your room. Beds are very uncomfortable. No curtains so no option to block out light - including in the bathroom!!! Security at the property is poor and people can come in and out throughout the day via the open front door - no staff are...
