Expensive for such a place!
I would not recommend this place to sleep at. It is fine if you want to come and shisha or tea not more than that.
Restaurant staff are nice, hotel staff most are rude.
Rooms are super old. Fridge is maybe closed since years and too smelly, they should at least tirn it on when there is a reservation. Even the phone was not plugged. (Pictures postes on their google page are not correct)
Electricity cuts off every few minutes, then you have to turn on the AC every single time, they dont even care to make it automatic. So just imagine our night in the mid of July!
The shower water is cold, and they would not fix it!! Just promise to do.
The breakfast includes: eggs (3ijje style), fool, hallumi cheese, labne, green&black olives, croissant, manakeesh saj, jam&bread ONLY. No boiled eggs, no other kinds of cheeses.
Also, if you request for iron, they will send someone to iron your clothes and charge you extra for it.
And cherry on top, They didnt tell us there was a rally the next day and then they told us you have to stay until 1pm!! With no prior notice! Without mentioning the noise from 7am!!
For this level of hotel, i would definitely not recommend it. We like old hotels with lebanese traditions, but it should be renovated with...

We needed a place to stay that was comfortable, well located in the Metn region, had reliable services, and onsite meals. By good luck, we came across the perfect hotel in Bikfaya area just a few minutes' drive from my wife's family hometown of Freike: the Merry Land Hotel.
The hotel is freshly updated and provides full food and drink service including a hearty Lebanese breakfast with coffee and juices as well as excellent entrees for lunch and dinner. This family-owned hotel is superb – they have a large electric generator to ensure 24-hour electric service including an elevator to its 5 floors. The hotel is child-friendly and provides “happy hour” ice cream cones to its small customers. The Dagher Family run day to day operations with a cheerful, highly well-trained and client-oriented staff whose diversity reflects the New Lebanon to come.
Despite the fact that Lebanon faces daunting financial and political issues, the country's long-term future seems assured as seen through the lens of this well-run hotel and their harmonious, diverse staff. The Merry Land Hotel has already seen and realized the country's future. A real, treasure –...
