Our experience at Marj el Sanawbar was one of the worst we've ever experienced. We booked a week earlier as we knew it will be busy. The service was horrendous, starting with an hour-long wait for cold mezze that some of it even arrived after the hot dishes, completely out of order. (Our reservation was at 2:00pm mezze didn't arrive until 3:00pm main course didn't arrive until 3:45)The food quality wasn't even up to the standard of other places. We took the Set menu which was $30 per person and we were 5 adults and 2 kids (we weren't charged for the kids). The set was 1 dish of each item for all 5! After a lot of asking and nagging they added an extra dish of Hummus, Mtabbal & Vine Leaves. We got 1 mixed grilled platter for all 7 of us which included 2 Skewers Tawouk, 2 Beef & 2 Kafta!!! We even asker for soft drinks (which were included in the set menu) they only gave us 2 cans and told us they were out of soft drinks!!! It was a thoroughly regrettable dining experience that I will never ever repeat and I must warn...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience! We were looking for a restaurant in Naas as all were full. For our bad luck we stopped at this restaurant as it was already 2pm and we were tired and hungry. There was only one other table when we sat down. We waited at least 30 min before receiving any dish. But that was not the only setback. The food was OK but the service was really bad. When they brought the bill I was shocked to see the accounting. First, it had nothing to do with the prices in the menu. Second it was horribly expensive, and the prices were not written anywhere. I believe they were different for different clients (they realised we had foreigners with us so they multiplied prices by 2). Birds were priced by the piece and not by the dish!!!! Don't ever go there even if you find no other restaurant in the...
Read moreThe worst service ever! They brought us the “machewe” as starters before anything else! They didnt even change our plates while they had very few people in the restaurant!!! Balila , batata 7arra , taouk were the worst ever. It was obvious by just looking ! We left all the platters almost full and we paid toooo much for the things we order! ( kind of we just throw our money) We only went in that restaurant becoz the ones near were full! I dont recommend it at all! And now I believe that we shld never try to eat in an almost empty restaurant! PS. There was no cold water!!! And “m3ajanet” were very oily!! Oh God! Worst...
