Hotel du Parc — Hotel in Diekirch

We were in a bike trip for 10 days and we stayed at the Hotel du Parc on our 8th night. The owner of the Hotel is the most unpleasant and unpolite person we met during the whole trip.

I am glad to see other coments here and in Booking that shows we're not the only ones to thinl that.

The entrance of the Hotel is pretty small, and because we didn't see were the reception was, and we did not want to leave the bikes outside because it was getting dark, we came in with them (road bikes ablutelly clean), he straight away startet literally shouting at us.

From the first moment he was absolutelly prepotent and although the Hotel needs quite an important renovation and also smells weird, he acts like if he had the best hotel in the country. We did not understand how it can be considered a 3 stars Hotel.

Only reason we ended up sleeping there was because the next Hotel in the same price range was...

We were quite disappointed in this hotel.|The advertising pictures give the impression that its in a quiet area overlooking a parc and the river, but in reality there is a very busy road right in front of the hotel. |Across the road is indeed a bit of a parc, but the non stop vehicles on the road is the most domineering aspect when you sit on the terrace of the hotel. We had a small double at the back of the hotel by the carpark, which was very basic. It was cold, the pillows uncomfortable and there was no glass partition or even a shower curtain to stop the barhroom from getting wet while using the shower. Returning to this hotel on another trip to Luxembourg, . While staying here it provided the perfect base for both access to Luxembourg city but also some amazing hiking trails while I was there. Not far from the beautiful Mullerthall region, this was an ideal place to base myself. As a repeat customer, I am continually impressed by the professionalism and warmth of the management, particularly the manager, who makes every stay here, feel truly welcoming. The attention to detail, the genuine sincerity, and the immaculate rooms make this hotel a standout. What more can I say? Highly recommended if you find your self in this part...
