EXPERIENCE STAY OBSERVATION

OYO 44037 King Park Hotel, Lahad Datu

Date check In : November 01, 2019 (Friday). Time Check In : 13:49 Hours. Room number : 302 (3rd floor).

Arrival experience; Easy to finding the hotel but the location is hiden. Hotel building it's look nice from the out side. Cool lobby and nice decoration. Have some of the tables and chairs for waiting area. Waiting the room less than 10 minutes. Check In processing less than 5 minute. MYR 50.00 required as the deposit. The receptionist just mentioned room number and the floor, but not brief us either the hotel provides the WiFi or password to access.

Check in experience; Have the elevator go to the upper floor. Lift bit slow moving. Lift floor look scratch. The guest floor is dim light.

Room experience; The entrance door don't have bell and peephole. All the lighting system is functioning. Small rooms but nice condition. Safety box is lock and can't to be use. The tea spoon & coffee tray have mark. The duvet cover look bit crumpled. The bed is hard. No sockets near the bed area. No qiblat sign. The mini fridge is functioning but no so cold. Window glass is bit dirty and have marked. The windows is not properly closed. Limited choice of the TV channel. TV channel is bit blurry and some of the local channel can be accessed due not applied the Freeview. TV is dust. The light under the TV desk don't have bulb. The floor have hairs. Limited of the cloth hangers. The iron not set up the wire nicely. The toilet bowl have bit urine smell. The shower marble wall have soap scamp. The hair dryer is crack. Tissue rolls is not refilling. The bathroom door is noisy. No hose bided. The water pressure is low. The air-conditioning suddenly warm and have water dripping. The WiFi connection is so bad. Can connect but can't to use. Complimentary 2 bottles mineral water is provided. Mugs and kettle is provided. Shampoo, lotion & soap is provided. No coffee amenities.

Preference needs experience; Highest floor : YES. Corner room : YES. Far from the guest elevator : NO. No connecting door with another guest rooms : YES. Double set of the amenities : YES.

I would like to recommend this hotel for; Business travelers : YES. Budget travelers : YES. Couples or honeymoon : YES. Disabled guest : YES. Family with the kid's : YES. Groups or delegations : NO. Weddings or...

The worst hotel ever. Tv, hairdryer, and toilet can’t even flush. We can understand if don’t have water pipes or hose but atleast you prepare bucket and tissue. Imagine to put yourself in the room. You have time to check and service the room before your guests come in. What are you doing? Very busy till can’t even service room? We come to relax not to stress out. Note to owner- this is Malaysia, toilet with water pipe is very important. Not everyone is using tissue. After so many bad review still no improvement? I really don’t know what...

I stay 2 days 2 night here... Reach a little bit late and quit tired. I have book this hotel ahead thru Agoda. Unfortunately during my arrival I have to pay some amount because the reception said OYO didn't pay their hotel... Without asking any further I just agreed and let it be...but after reflect back, why should the hotel ask extra money from customers? Their should only ask for deposit and return the same amount once check out. The problems with OYO and hotel shall not involved customers. That is why I give 1 star...
