Went to Place2Stay @ Kenyalang on the 11th of January 2024, Thursday, as we were underway of a road-trip in need of a last minute place to stay overnight.
Online bookings were not available for the day itself, so we went for walk-in which is fine with us. It was 7:15PM by the time we arrived at Place2Stay @ Kenyalang and upon arrival there was no one at the counter. A lady headed towards the counter in 5 minutes time, in a very uninviting manner, without even greeting us nor even a smile. By the time she was entering the counter, her mannerisms were very unpleasant and aggressive; slamming on the door, throwing off her keys and phone, sour expression. It was as if the management didn’t give a front-office attendant any proper training or even basic etiquette. A front of the office is supposed to be the face of your company.
Her tone throughout the whole enquiry was very off-setting and rude as if a front-desk person that has never been trained on how to communicate properly with guests/potential guests. It would have been our first time staying there, but especially due to the lack of hospitality, my husband and I decided to just find another place to stay overnight.
It was a very traumatising and unpleasant experience for us to the point that my husband and I didn’t even think twice to change our locations on staying overnight. It’s a very intolerable behaviour to be receiving especially from someone working in the line of hospitality and front-desk.
Take note and take action:- She was probably in her late 20s age-wise, has a visible cross tattoo on her chest, working during the 7:15PM evening shift on Thursday (11th January 2024). Extremely rude and unpleasant behaviour from the moment we entered until we left, no greetings whatsoever. We requested for her name, as she was not wearing a nametag, however she refused to provide us her name.
Please ensure your staff is given proper basic...

Read moreFirst of all, the tiles are so so dirty. You need to use slippers to climb up to your bed. The bedsheet is not clean. The towels has stains on it. The bathroom is the worst! There's mold at each of the corners and the sink has obvious glue attachment to the wall. Personally i dont really care if the space is so small but please, keep it clean! Like squeaky clean! And i do know you get what you paid for but no one want to sleep in a dirty room with dust and moles. I hope the management will take this matter very seriously. My rm70 room purchased from your hotel is not worth it...
