Good day..Seriously saying guys..happened to me on the 29/05/2018..my first time to Tune Hotel, 1Borneo Kota Kinabalu..what a disappointment it has been..i drove for 8 hours from Tawau, expecting 3 stars accomodations and quality upon arrival..entering the room, wow..not even 1 picture on the wall to freshen up my eyes, no in-house telephone, no table and no chair..d**n.. -what worse is, i paid extra for room with window, just to be presented with a 'beautiful scenery' of whole bunch of old and dirty mattresses..really ruin my day.. -i called the reception counter with my mobile phone, asking them what the hell is wrong with this room..they answered, all room is the same..they in respond, promise to give me new room with more relaxing scenery outside the window..cross my finger.. -that is all from me.. Updated..new room on the 30th Mey 2018..twin single bed with the same nothing inside the room..what annoyed me so much, is the air conditioner is blowing air and not cool air..another dissapointment, even though the window scenery was a bit nicer this time around..rain came, and water enter the room from the wall..really put my patience to the roof..NO MORE TUNE HOTEL 1BORNEO KOTA KINABALU, SABAH, MALAYSIA FOR ME..was just staying in Tune Hotel, Jln Putera PWTC a week before, what a very glorious and beautifully design room..mind you guys, i paid 150 for this bad hotel, already discounted..with that same price, i can stayed with smile in other hotels with all the accessories and accomodations provided#👍👍👍Platinum hotel, Borneo Hotel,...

Check-In process is relatively long. Quite expected since the PC at the help-desk looks quite old 😂. From lobby to room floor, takes a little walk through the shopping mall and using the mall lift to go second floor. Room condition is showing its age, as you can see at the bathroom floor. They provide 2 body towels, hair shampoo, soap bar, toilet paper, hair dryer, 2 plug points, so it’s quite complete. Another thing is the hot water doesn’t work anymore. Obviously the knob can be rotated to left or right to adjust temperature, just like any other hotel. But when rotate to the hot water side, there is no water came out.

On day 2, I went out at 10am to avoid paying parking outside (more on this later). Although didn’t put the sign to ask for room service, my bed was tidied by the time I came back. Luckily there is nothing lost. So beware on that, if want to go out on day2, be sure to keep your valuables with you, instead of the non-functioning safe box.

For the breakfast, they provide fried rice, fried mihun, hotdogs, ayam masak lemak, sambal ikan bilis with peanuts, roti jala and drinks (orange, lime, tea). Deliciousness is subjective to everyone but I skipped my second day’s breakfast, try to guess why.

Hotel doesn’t provide parking for guest. Parking outside hotel is chargeable by the jockey from 10am to 10pm. RM6 for 5hrs. And RM2 for subsequent hours. That’s why I try to come back after 10pm and leave before 10am. If need to have a short period of parking, may park at 1Borneo mall parking since they only charge...

Booked through AirAsia SNAP return flight+4 days room without windows. So it's cheaper. Nice budget hotel.

Checkin is 2pm, I checkin at 8pm. Checkout is 11am.

What I get here is: they change new towel, 1 bottle of shampoo and water bottle everyday FOC when you are not in the room. Do not leave valuable items inside your room though none of my items is touched. Im toilet has soap, tissues sanitary bag and hair dryer. Got some paid snack at the lobby area.

Inside room has big mirror. 1 slide table easy to eat or do work with laptop. Convenient charging port beside bed. Hot and cold water. Aircond, fan and tv. No remote for fan and tv though, only switches. But I'm fine because when I'm backpacking, I always bring a thumbdrive+otg to watch movies so I plug it in the tv usb slot.

Good services from the staff. I even request to use their microwave to heat up my food everyday. I use the behind lift everyday to get to my room. Also access to mall easy from behind.

Parking is the only downside here as the hotels doesn't provide cust parking but if you ask the lobby staff they will advise you nicely. Parking is free from 10pm to 10am. Other hours fee is RM6 per 5 hours. The parking guy is friendly too. They even let you start free at 9pm and leave without charge at 11am. But don't take advantage of their friendliness.
