It is a 3 star hotel and stayed true to the official star rating. Do not expect too much and you will not be that much disappointed.||||It was a last minute decision. The stay was for a 1 night stay on 16 September. There were 3 of us and since it was the weekend of Malaysia Day, most other hotels were full.||||Reservation was done direct by calling the hotel on the day itself and it was handled efficiently by Ms Shidah. We booked a 2 Bedroom Deluxe Apartment for Rm340 with 4 breakfasts.||||Check in was also very efficient. A bit of a side note, both staff who were manning the reception were not wearing any name tag. A name tag is an essential item in service industry. ||||The apartment was located in a different building behind the main wing of the hotel. There were ample open air parking infront of the apartment block. The apartment itself was very basic but very big. We were accomodated in apartment A305. One room came with 2 single bed and the other room, the master bedroom, came with a queen bed and a single bed. The whole apartment could comfortably accomodate 5 people. The dining and the living room came with a 4 person dining table and enough seating area for at least 8 people. There was only 1 tv in the whole apartment and the channel selection were very limited. Wi-fi, eventhough free, was not working when we were there. Cleanliness was average. Some section of the bathroom needed some scrubbing. There was a smell of dampness and mustiness upon entering the apartment but it was remedied once you switched on the air conditioner. Apart from that, there was nothing much to complain. This was afterall, a 3 star property.||||We did not try the breakfast as we were too tired to wake up the next morning. We also did not try any of the food and beverages outlets since we were mostly out and about in the city.||||In a nutshell, the hotel was a bit old. A refurbishment would be nice. For a 3 star hotel, it was adequate for what it was. We usually stayed at the Casa del Rio, a 5 star property in the city center. Of course this will never be on par with Casa del Rio, but for what it is, a 3 star hotel, I am satisfied with the hotel. For those on a budget, I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery near to Pantai Hospital, Melaka, just across the road. It's standard room comes with a double bed and a single bed.||For solo traveler like me, I feel it's a bit pricey because I am paying for a 3 persons room instead of for a single person room.||The staff are friendly and helpful.||Not many eateries around. The ones nearby are Kings' Cafe and another restaurant nearby serving Western, Chinese and local food which is a bit pricey.||Ironically, the most economic place to have meal is at Fresh Cafe by Pantai which is inside Pantai Hospital. The ala carte meal consists of rice, a main dish of chicken or fish and a vegetable is set at RM6.00.||The dishes are quite tasty. They also have meal to order like fried rice, fried noodles, etc. Price wise also not so pricey and the portions are big.||As for the hotel, location wise, if you don't have a car, you have to use Grab service or public transports to go places.||Not far from Aeon and Mydin hypermarkets. Very convenient for those from outstation who are visiting patients at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed at the 3-bedroom apartment for one night. The unit is spacious, comfortably big enough for 5, but curiously missing a kitchen, just a basic coffee-making corner and a fridge. All rooms had attached bathrooms. Rooms are clean and good-sized but are aged and might require major refurbishing soon. This place is strategically located near to mall and fuel station, surrounded by vast choices of eateries (warongs, restaurants). Locationwise is okay if you are travelling by car if you aren't, public transportation is inaccessible. Cleanlisness is ok, however major turn-off is the dusty floor. We were travelling with a disabled person on a wheelchair, and they are PWD-friendly (ramp, toilet). Iron should be provided since there is none during our visit. ||||We were given only one key, it troubled us at some point. We were provided with breakfast, not much of varieties, but we are quite satisfied. In a nutshell, for a 3-star property, Kings Apartment is only suitable and worth-the-money for family for...
