Came at 2pm. There is already a queue of around 7 people at the counter. And quite a lot of people just sitting at the lobby area waiting to be checked in. ||Check in is veeeeerrrryyyyyy veeeeerrrryyyyyy veeeeerrrryyyyyy veeeeerrrryyyyyy veeeeerrrryyyyyy slow. Not sure why, either maybe it is due to some people late check out so housekeeping need to take extra time to clean the room or housekeeping is taking forever to clean a room or the Front Office staff that are slooooowwwwwww in doing their job. ||Advisable to come check in after 3pm. But come to think of it, better don't come here at all!!! Totally not recommended. ||The aircond in the lobby is a bit warm and that definitely does not help with the waiting. ||I only get the keys at 4pm. That is 2 hours of waiting for the rooms to be ready! And that is with the help of Redzwan. He has been very very very helpful and he is not even a full time staff there, he is only a student doing his practical there. Shame on the Front Office staff there. You guys should be more like Redzwan. Even the fulltime staff are not that friendly and not helpful and they are not even smiling!! Really, shame on you Front Office staff. ||Management, please do take note. Your Front Office staff really give bad first impression to your customers. My first impression of your hotel - really bad and this is my first and last I will come to your hotel. Never anymore! All of this because of the bad experience your Front Office staff gave to me. ||No basement parking. The only parking within the hotel is surrounding the hotel. Very limited parking, estimated only around 30 parking bay. If the parking within the hotel is full, customers can park outside the hotel. ||Room - Deluxe room with 1 single bed and 1 queen bed. Room is very small with some space just enough for you to walk between the bed and the wall. No luggage rack. Shower is small too that can only fit 1 person at a time - when in hotels, normally my 2 kids will always shower together, so at this hotel this means they cant shower together now.||Aircond in the room is cool because it is the type where we normally install at home, it is not building centralized aircond.||The room carpet and furniture are very dusty with strands of hair. My youngest kid falls sick with all the dust. The toilet floor is not clean, there are strands of hair and dusts. TV is ok, good picture quality and good sound.||Swimming pool - there are 2 pools: 1 with slides that is 0.6m deep and another 1 without slides and is 1.2m deep. Both are located right next to each other and separated by a rail. Both pools look like a number 8 from above. There are some kids and even adults that wear normal clothes (not swimming suits) in the pool, so I guess there are no restrictions. There are towels provided by the counter near the pool. No safeguard. Evening swim is nice because the sun is blocked by the hotel building. Kids are definitely going to love the pool with slides. ||Breakfast - not many varieties. Egg station, porridge with condiments, nasi lemak, fried kuey teow, bread and butter pudding, baked beans, glass noodle soup and breads. ||Location - there is McD right next to the hotel. There is also Subaidah nearby. Surrounding the area are gov buildings, houses and a few shoplots. ||I booked this hotel for 2 nights. And because of the bad experience and the room sucks and bad breakfast, we only stayed for 1 night and checked out early to move to another hotel. ||Totally not...
Read moreWon’t be staying here anymore. Arrived at 2.45pm for check in. Was given room 409. The room door was not shut closed. Can enter withoit using access card. Went down to the reception to complain about the door. Senior staff couldn’t understand what I said & asked for maintenance team to check. I told her the door was cracked & can’t be locked from the inside. She told me to wait on level 4 until maintenance reports back to her. Fine! The maintenance guy came & told us that the lock can be replaced. I replied back saying, if this was replaced…the door still can’t be shut closed & locked. So he had to report this to reception & asked if there’s a different room for us.He later came with a new access card for room 523. We made our way there carrying all our stuff. We are 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 eight year old & a toddler. Room 523 was really run down, not properly cleaned but fortunately, the door worked fine with locks. At 11pm, the AC unit suddenly went off. Tried switching the main point on/off several times & also used the AC remote. No luck, called reception…technician will come. He came, checked the AC, went out, came back again, used the stool to climb at the AC unit & AC was switched on again. Thankful! An hour later, the AC was just blowing air. Not even cold air. Kids started to get sweaty & couldn’t sleep. Already midnight, called reception again. Technician came & checked the AC and knew that our room was not cold since he first came. He told us to change to a diff room, but to wait first for confirmation from reception. The phone rang & we were told new room is on level 4. Packed everything & went one level down. Waited in front of the elevator for new room access card. It was room 410. Next to out 1st room (409). Thank God the technician already switched the AC on, room 410 was cold when we arrived. Settled down & went to sleep at 1am in our third room.Hotel & rooms were really runned down. Toilet’s tiles’ grout had mold & mildew. Toilet door was cracked. Rooms were dusty. A lot of improvement has to be done. They need to revamp everything since the wear & tear of the rooms were so obvious. It was definitely our first & last time staying here & luckily it was only for a night. Out of the 3 rooms, only the last room had a fridge. Parking was limited around...
Read moreThis hotel doesn’t even qualify for one star. As a frequent business traveler, I booked this hotel because it was near UTHM where I had a 3-day event. This was a huge mistake that I won’t repeat, and I won't recommend this hotel to anyone from my company.
I booked one reservation under my company and another under my husband’s name. During check-in, I explained to the receptionist that I had two room bookings and asked to have both on the same floor. He told me to wait until 4 PM because the rooms were not ready. I waited until 5 PM, but he didn’t call me. When my husband went to check, he was told that the receptionist had already given the key to my staff, who had reserved her hotel room separately. This had nothing to do with me, so we had to wait for another room. The receptionist blamed me for the confusion and didn’t listen when I explained the situation during check-in. He asked me to wait and was more focused on printing and stamping documents.
The room was smelly and not clean. The washbasin was leaking, and the shower room door wouldn’t open. We had to wait for a technician to come and fix it. (I would rate the technician 5 stars.)
The food was terrible. I paid RM 40++ inclusive of tax for cold food. The fruits were dry, and the nasi lemak rice was dry as well. The quality was very low and not worth the price.
The final incident that prompted me to write this review happened on the morning of the 30th. I booked a Grab and was about to leave when a Malay man ran up and stopped me. He asked, "You ada ambik barang tak?" I thought he was asking about the laptop I was carrying, so I said yes. Then he asked, "Apa barang you ambik?" I realized he was accusing me of stealing something from the hotel. Another lady from the hotel came and said it was a mistake and told me to go. The man didn’t even apologize and stared at me with a very racist look. In 20 years of business travel, I have never encountered such...
