When I arrived at 12 noon, the 2 Indonesian cleaners were busy cleaning the rooms on the 1st Floor. Try and book for a more expensive room. Mine was the cheapest of the lot, so no window. Quite ok because then it is less noisy. The more expensive front rooms face the main road. ||It is better to come after 2 pm. Between 12 noon and 2 pm the 2 Indonesian cleaners will be cleaning the rooms and the corridors. The floor would be still wet from the mopping and it would inconvenience the housekeeping crew when going about choosing your room. The Chinese man who was a bit plumb was most obliging even though I choose to go to the 2nd floor, Room no. 209. I think the room is a little more expensive than the one I booked. It opened out to the enclosed open air well. I could get a whiff of cigarette smell but it dissipated quite fast. ||I was quite surprised that the white duvet looked so clean. Like almost new. The bed sheets were ok. ||I only stayed one night and when I left by Grab, I had to ask the same kind man to help me with my 2nd bag because I was really late for my flight. He not only brought down my cabin suitcase but carried it to the car which was parked 2 doors away. The driver couldn't park right at the door to the hotel. I’ve never encountered such unprofessional and dishonest service in all my travels. The staff member named KATHERINE has no sense of responsibility or integrity. Another staff named Hong, i think he is just there to collect money, rest of the decisions will be made by Katherine with her rude behaviour and greedy attitude. She initially told me she could cancel the booking from her side but asked me to go through Agoda. However, when Agoda contacted her directly, she shamelessly changed her story and said cancellation was not possible. This exact situation happened twice , a clear pattern of lying and manipulation.
It’s obvious this person is more interested in trapping guests for money than offering real hospitality. She was rude, hypocritical, and completely lacking in empathy. The way this situation was handled shows a total absence of proper hotel management skills and zero concern for customer satisfaction.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. If they treat their guests like this even before check-in, imagine how badly they manage the rest of the stay.
Please consider hiring a manager with better attitude...
