GOOD (well, more or less):||) I slept well as the bed is good enough. However, the bed is too short. I booked a room with king-size bed. Sleeping in the bed diagonally was the solution.||) The staff are friendly, but not all of them are able to speak English confidently. Especially housekeeping staff.||BAD:||) Poor sound isolation. You can hear precisely what is being said in the hallway. And can hear what is happening in the neighbouring room. Many rooms have a connecting door, making the sound isolation even worse.||) "breakfast included". They only serve a buffet style, consisting of rice, noodles, (overly) hard-boiled eggs, chicken sausages, plus toast with butter, jam and kaya. And a choice between sweetened coffee or sweetened tea. It is not surprising that the breakfast room was pretty much deserted every time I was there: most people prefer to skip this.||) "every room has wifi". True, but the internet speed is so low that it isn't usable for reading email or a newspaper. Forget about watching photos or video. Unusable.||) The number lock on the safety box in my room was not working. As a solution the staff gave me the manager's key to it, for me to keep during my entire stay. Imagine this: if I would have had access to other rooms I would have been able to open their safety boxes. The staff did not record that I had that key in my possession.||UGLY:||*) The electricity outlet in the bathroom was a serious safety hazard. See attached photo. I don't know what they were thinking when they made this: I don't know what plug fits this dangling connector. The lack of isolation makes this dangerous in a room with a wet floor.||||I guess the conclusion of this story is that you get what you pay for. I paid RM107 per night for a so-called "Executive Deluxe" room, which is an exaggeration for a standard...
Read moreArrived at the hotel reception counter in the evening, saw the only girl there busy talking on her mobile phone. Stood right in front of her, she looked almost annoyed as though her 'beauty call' was being interrupted. Instead of immediately shutting her phone, she just held her phone away from her ear, asked abruptly "ada booking ah?". I said 'yes'. She pretended to check her computer ( I can almost swear she hasn't got a clue how to use it) and just said 'no' after just a few seconds !!||Anyway, got the rooms as they were available. Entering the room, the damp smell is so bad, you can just get ill from it.||Rooms are not sound proof at all, you can even hear your the next door occupants talking.||Breakfast? Rubbish is the word. One glance at what is on offer is enough to put you off. Some cheap nasi lemak and bread and kaya .....||First and last time there.||Am informed that the owner is a Singaporean. If he doesn't get a good manager to put things right, this place wont last...
Read moreNot worth the money if they can't keep room cleanliness. Room reek of cigarettes and body odour. My colleague who rented the other room also experienced the same. I wonder if they changed the sheets or if this is the standard fragrance. The smell is so bad that i had to buy charcoal sachet to reduce the pong. Btw, you can reduce smell in windowless room if the housekeeping team is hardworking enough to clean the dusty aircond. While there are basic facilities in the room, please clean the crusty kettle, sweep the floor and clean the bathroom properly. The bathroom wall is moldy and hairdryer cord is crusted with dust. Even the soap dispenser is crusty. I understand this is an old building but is basic hygiene too much to ask? I have no other issues apart from cleanliness. Their staff and other hotel facilities are ok. Near eateries and...
