Motel Aurora Damai — Hotel in Langkawi Island

This Motel is value for money but don’t expect too much luxury in the price you pay for this property.

The good things are: Location which is quite near to Cenang Beach and main Cenang market but you need to have a motorbike or car to roam all around, got ample parking space, great WiFi speed, hot water, friendly staff, neat and clean property. The lady Eliza is very much helpful and help you as much as she can.

In terms of the negatives I don’t have any coz it’s low cost motel and justify the price they charged however there are few things they can improve in order to make this a perfect place for stay. You won’t feel that you’re staying in a hotel, it’s just a basic room you’ll get to spend few nights with good air conditioning, WiFi and hot water. No option to eat nearby except a Thai restaurant which opens at night only. Of course there is no b’fast provided and you’ve to drive back to Cenang market which is nearest. And no housekeeping so you’ve to manage without that though they will give you the new towels and toiletries...

Let me start with the fact that the I didn't stay in this motel, but visited, even twice, its restaurant during my latest holiday on Langkawi. It was recommended by the kind staff of the place where we stayed.

The staff was kind and helpful, the serving was fast, the food was delicious, and the prices were quite reasonable. For example, the 2 of us had (both times) Siakap Tiga Rasa with 2 side dishes, veggies and 2 fresh ice lemon teas per pax and had to shell out total only a bit more than RM50. The price of the fish was RM5/100g. It is almost just half of the prices of the restaurants right next to Pantai Cenang beach, as those sell it for RM8-10/100g.

Though it's a bit off as it's about a little less than 2km from Pantai Cenang beach, I would highly recommend to take a detour and come here to have your dinner especially if you have rented a car or scooter. I can assure that you won't be disappointed if you...

Really pleased we booked to stay here, what a jem. Sad we had to leave because they were booked up (school holidays) unfortunately, we wanted to stay longer but only booked for the initial three nights.

The room was perfect, very big, clean and most important, a comfortable bed. The rooms are simple but for the price it's amazing value. You can park your vehicle right outside your room. The place is ultra quiet. The cherry on top was the attitude of the staff, I didn't ask what her name was unfortunately but what a lovely lady she is, so helpful. We rented our scooter through her.

The night resturant on the site of the hotel also has a very good reputation and very reasonable prices although we didn't get chance to eat here, Langkawi has so many great eateries, you are never...
