I am currently staying in this Hotel as of April 2025. There are not many reviews on this platform but many others on various other review sites.|In my opinion the good review rates are about right. The pictures i can guest verify as authentic.|I think its important to remember this Hotel is a budget one and you get what you pay for. Having said that, i believe you get reasonable value for your money.|Additionally this establishment is away from all the hustle and bustle, and is about 2 km away from the beach and busy areas. You can easily rent a motor bike or car if you so wish. Adequate parking.|The Hotel i believe is about ten years old, modernish brick tile faced with ceramic tile and stone flooring in outside areas. Yes the pool is small but is useful to cool down with and an relax around. There is a terraced area with stone tables and chairs outside the ground floor king rooms.|Reception is open until 10.30 pm and after that, security take over. I was arriving late so i emailed the property. They responded quickly. Late check out is RM10 per hour.|There is a RM 50 refundable deposit and small tourist tax, nothing to worry about.|The room was a good size, decoration in good order and importantly it had been cleaned properly. Bed was firm but very comfortable. Sheets and pillows in good condition and some new towels with their logo on it. As advertised they provide bottled water coffee sachets, kettle, large refrigerator wall mounted 32 inch tv with mainly local channels. Some English and American films do appear. super cool A/C.|The bathroom shower area is nicely tiled with a powerful overhead shower and wet room. Small soaps and shower gel provided. The WIFI i had no connection issues and was useable. Although the Hotel is close to the road i found sleeping at night was fine and road noise was minimal. The call to prayer from the Mosque is normal, early in the morning. After all we are in Malaysia,|I was more than happy staying here. The Hotel performed well.|The staff i encountered appeared to be up to their tasks and interacted well with the guests. I am more than happy to...

I didn't get this charge in other hotels and if I pay full price at agoda I expect zero charges upon check in. So I refused and we were arguing as I found this a scam attempt. Eventually they got off and let me check in without paying this fee, which only admits that there is something not clear with this procedure.
The room was clean, but old. There were clear signs of damage on the walls and it obviously requires renovation. Also, there is no furniture at all except a bed, table and a chair. No wardrobe, no shelves, anything. A couple of hangers and that's all. I was forced to store all my stuff and clothes directly on the floor. There was hot water and the shower worked fine, but the sink was stuck and would always overflow with water.
The WiFi is bad. Probably not the worst one, but still hard to use, because the speed is slow and it would disconnect you multiple times per day.
The pool is very very small, even if it looks cool in the pictures, in reality it's double the size of an inflatable pool for kids. Also it is closed after 21:00 (this is a common thing everywhere around the island).
The cleaning happens in the evening most of the time, usually around 16:00-17:00 for some reason. We would always go out in the morning and leave the "please make the room" card and come back at 14:00-15:00 just to see the same room which wasn't cleaned.
There is absolutely zero noise isolation, we would hear the alarm clock of our neighbors at 5 in the morning EVERY day. We would hear the Masjid songs nearby at about 6 in the morning EVERY DAY. I had a really bad sleep here. There are lots of quiet hotels in quiet areas around the island and you should consider them instead if you like...
Read moreIf you rented a car/scooter and don't mind to drive/ride, this is one of cost worthy places to stay. 5-mins drive/ride away from Pantai Chenang. 2-mins drive/ride to eco-shop and Temoyong Night Market (every Thursday night). Across this place, there's a 24-hour coin laundry place, couple of marts and restaurants (by the roadside).
Comfortable basics - King bed with 4 pillows and comforter. Air-conditioned room came with hot showers, kettle with sachets of coffee-tea-sugar and 2 set of mugs with tea spoons, fridge, 2 bottled water, a box of tissues, dressing table, LED (which I'm guessing people don't use much) and hanging wardrobe with hangers and top shelf.
Toiletries provided are a pair of toothbrush, shower cap, 2 bathing soaps, shampoo in a wall-hanging container, toilet roll and 2 glasses (which I used to place my personal toothbrush and toothpaste)
Iron can be requested without any surcharge. Prayer mats for Muslims available. Else, you can request from the reception.
Swimming pool is more ideal for kids, really but you can enjoy a dip if you don't mind the small-ish pool.
One thing to note, the call to prayers can be heard clearly here and it begins as early as 5.30am-ish for Fajr. The call to prayers are 6 times a day - 2 at dawn, 1 at about 1.40pm-ish, 1 at 4.45pm-ish, another at 7.40pm-ish and last at 8.45pm-ish.
Also, as the place is by the road side - occasional sounds of cars/bikes passing by is heard but not often.
Great place to stay and good per night rate with comfortable...
