Easy hotel to book with friendly staffs. Check-in was easy and rooms are good for the budget (huge space!) The one best thing I like is that they do not use carpets anywhere. This made it easy for me to roll my folded bike in and out of the room and lobby, plus no weird carpet smells. Breakfast is served simple and delicious; fried rice, fried kuey teow or meehoon, cereal with milk, porridge with condiments, baked beans, sausages (kids will not be a problem here) and at times either potato wedges or samosas or spring rolls. It comes with fresh fruits too! Especially love the egg counter, where they are able to make scrambled, sunny side up or omelettes if you please (something that is lacking in other 3 star hotels) :) Room service may take about 2-3 days to happen, but hey, I don't usually mess up my room in less than 24 hours, so that is fine by me. The shower passes my cleanliness test too. Since it is located slightly off the main touristic areas, you will have to head out for your lunch and dinner. If you're going to stay long, ask for room with window, you will thank yourself for it. I enjoyed my stay...
Read moreWe visited Kuala Melaka Inn already many times, best value for money hotel we know, because even the usually cheaper accommodations in Langkawi have doubled and tripled their prices, while Kuala Melaka Inn is a hotel with much better amenities than those lower budget accommodations, and it still maintained their price structure. We're traveling a lot, so we can't afford to pay those ridiculous prices, that Langkawi and most other places in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand have started to demand in the recent years. Langkawi was once a beautiful and unspoilt island, where one could swim on the beaches, but now its impossible to find at least such a clean beach, that you don't need to worry about jellyfish. That means, due to greed the prices have gone up ridiculously on the expense of the true natural resources and values this beautiful island has to offer, and it looks like they're continuing their demolition job in the name of so-called development, like the Thais have successfully managed to destroy the neighboring island Ko Lipe within less...
Read moreThe hotel is a very affordable, basic spacious clean room. Good for long stay traveller or on business errand. Run by Ombak Villa. Located in quite place but easy access to Airport, Pantai Chenang and Kuah Town. Advised to rent a car.
Ample parking space. No restaurant but there is a walking distance local restaurant. Langkawi had lots of food delivery online operations as an option.
During my stay there is no receptionist in the counter so had to deal by phone to Ombak Villa and absent of securities. Seen the CCTV in many spots.
For me as a lone traveler it's suits me. 5 Stars for me.
Worth money pay but don't expect...
