The Baker Girls Langkawi — Restaurant in Kedah

Please do not go there if you are on holiday in Langkawi. We got conned! It is extremely overpriced. The Swiss Roll alone cost RM 138 and it was not an official receipt, our total bill came to RM 197. It would have been overpriced even if it was half the price at RM 70 for one single Swiss Roll. We saw the bill and were a little shocked but did not want to cause a scene because they said it was a "special" Swiss roll not the usual one. But it was so normal, not better than your neighbourhood bakery and we paid RM 138 for that. I think those conwomen bakers just came out with the price on the spot and wrote it down. Look at picture I posted, they only gave the official receipt for those items they had stated the pricing in their shop, they do not have any pricing or price tags stated in their shop for the Swiss Roll and Cupcakes so they just wrote down the price...

I requested for a customized cake from them, the pricing is decent especially since I got it delivered on top of the customization. It was a simple butter cake with chocolate frosting in the middle. Besides the incredibly delicious cake- the external frosting was simply divine, the pink tasted like it was made with actual strawberries and there was a surprising strawberry filling in the center of the cake- it wasn’t super sweet, yet it was light. You know it tastes good when it hits all. Ngl one of the best cakes I had. Shoutout to Patty for making it happen! The only thing I would say is the communication was bit delayed due to time difference I suppose but nonetheless I would absolutely recommend this place...

Thanks Susan, thanks Patty for catering us at LIMA2023, small business that's goes beyond, thanks for supporting us to provide the drinks/ice requested it pretty much helpful during those busy days. Pastries/savory choices are plenty and taste definitely good! Those are our lunch as well. Bite size really helpful in serving it to our guest.

Will return for next LIMA2025. We do recommended them for events as well. So grateful to found them online and dealing was easy since the menu is available on their website and social media.

Our disappointment is that we didn't manage to take the all boxes and pictures as we serve them as quick as it came....
