We book 3 chalets for one night, and we absolutely love Fuga Village, especially the privacy of the place.||||So here are the list of things which we love about Fuga Village:||||1) There were tall fences around the place, and guests have to lock the entrance & exit door before leaving, hence safety is really assured here.||||2) Check in was a breeze. We met Amy upon check in, and Peter upon check out, and they were very nice. The host will pretty much leave you alone after check in, and since the place is locked, you really have privacy to spend time with your loved ones.||||3) The beach is just a few footsteps from the room, and there is a pool, which is more suitable for adults as its about 5 feet deep.||||4) The room is equipped with air cond, fan, a kettle, a fridge, as well as shampoo and conditioner. But I do recommend to bring your own toiletries. The bed & pillows were good and the sheets were clean. I can say the room is more to a minimalist concept, but we liked it. Bring your own water too.||||5) There are 3 windows, which you can open and enjoy the fresh air. I really love the windows, antique style. The place is really clean!! So do not litter and throw your rubbish in the dustbin that they provide by the pool.||||6) You can spend time at the pool, there are 2 gazebos and 2 pool chairs for relaxing. We had our lunch and breakfast here, the weather was beautiful. ||||7) Do not miss an upper deck at the reception area, where you can just chill and watch the beach or people watching.||||8) Right next door is the turtle sanctuary and visitor center, which is good for a quick tour. ||||9) Please obey the rules, you will find it in your room - and do take note that other visitors are NOT allowed. Hence, please respect the host's rules and regulations. For us, we love this rule as friends of visitors will not simply come in and out as they like.||||Not a big problem actually, but I thought it will be useful for future travelers:||||1) We wish we could spend more time in the pool, it was under maintenance as the water was dirty. ||||2) Relaxing area at the reception - wish we could have some food here, but we were caution that we will make it a mess, so we just sit & enjoy the fresh air. ||||3) Open air bathroom & toilet - do bring a kain batik to cover up, as the bathroom is really open, you will feel like somebody is watching you! LOL! ||||4) For Muslims traveller - do bring your own praying...
Read moreWhat an amazing calm and peaceful place to stay. Our hosts Peter & Aimee are generous, kind and nothing was too much trouble. The garden is beautiful and well manicured. The steel plunge pools are a great idea and just what is required to cool off on a hot day. The chalets are immaculately clean, minimalistic but have everything you need i.e. kettle, fridge, crockery etc. We loved the bathroom being outside - it was great showering under the stars.|Fuga is next door to a turtle sanctuary & we were lucky enough to see hatchlings in the sanctuary and also witnessed around 150 per night being released safely in to the sea. WOW - we also saw 2 turtles digging their nests and laying eggs before returning to the sea.|Fuga village is not on the normal tourist trail and so makes it a great place to mix with the local villagers and experience the real Malaysia.|It is located at the end of the village and approximately 4 metres from the beach.|Most days we had the beach to ourselves - bonus.|Plenty of places to eat within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Local food is delicious and very inexpensive. Peter gave us some great tips on local menus and even offered to collect takeaways for us if he was going out.|We ate at Kemunting Food Court, Coconut Shake and two other local eateries serving street food.|If you are looking for a secret getaway away from the maddening crowd, then this is the place to go.|Very highly recommended. We stayed for 2 weeks - absolutely fabulous.|A big Thank you to PETE & AIMEE for an amazing experience and a brilliant...
Read moreLocation:||Be aware that Tanjung Bidara's beach will always be a busy area & narrow road as the vehicles are parked on the side roads. Fortuitously, this chalet is located a distance away from that busy area & next to Melaka Turtle Sanctuary Centre. Their car park entrance is at the back of Turtle Sanctuary. It's a bit confusing the 1st time. Should put bigger & clear signage at each junction. 4/5||||Parking:||A closed private car park is provided & limited to 6 cars at one time. 5/5||||Room:||I have 5 family members. As the family room is not available, I booked 2 units garden view room. The room is equipped with 1 queen bed size, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, mini fridge & a kettle. The bathroom is located outside the room & is partially roofed. It's going to be a problem if you are defecating when it rains. The cleanliness of the room is good. 4/5||||Environment:||The outside environment is very relaxing with the view of a garden & nice landscapes. There is a pool for kids. 5.5.||||Owner:||The owner is so friendly, responsive, accessible & compromise. 5/5||||Safety:||Since this is private property, all entrances are always locked. Tenants will be given keys to each one. I noticed the owner himself patrolling the area at night. 5/5||||Breakfast is not provided but there are many food stalls nearby. The beach is just...
