Holagarden Hotel — Hotel in Malacca

My advice is, please stay somewhere else. The service of this hotel is the worst I have ever encounter. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights on 7th Nov to 11th Nov 2016 and my room was not been clean at all, the excuse given was, its my fault because I did not put the clean room card at my door knob, so even after I mentioned to them to clean everyday, it was not done and this time the reason was cleaner on emergency leave. ||The room size was reasonable and new but air con was not cold at all, even after complaint nothing been done, all fell into deaf ears. Tomorrow, I am checking out and now only the change me to another room....what a waste of money staying here.||||Another issue, breakfast only start at 8am. For those who need to be early can forget breakfast in the hotel.||||Wifi? bad||||Shower? poorly design, spray on the wall.......||||So, please stay else where. Other hotel provide...

It's a nida room related hotel.

Let's start with what's good, you have parking available for motorcycles and car. Breakfast is basic, great location to hotspots, convenient walking distance to hawker food, majority windowless rooms. Window rooms are not decorated in good taste.

Service Levels - This is not good for tourist as counterstaff do not speak english. Aircon can't go lower than 26 degrees in either rooms.

If you expect speck clean room, you won't find it. The atmosphere of a clean room isn't around either. People who are particular about cleanliness to refrain unless extremely price conscious.

Room size is average. Value hunters can stay here with lower expectations. There are also other value hotels in Malacca, at roughly similar prices.

If you have to pick, pick...

We stayed in this hotels for 2 nights. The outside of the hotel doesn't look nice, but the inside is nice.||Our room is big and clean. The bed is comfortable with two pillows and two spare pillows in the wardrobe. The toilet is very clean with a nice raindrop shower. The floor of the toilet is well tilted so it dries quickly.||There is an air purifier in the aisle so the air seems fresh. The air conditioner in our room works well. ||The main road in front of the hotel is wide and not as polluted as those in the city center. There are limited parking lots in the hotel but we never have problems during our stays.||There is a good dimsum restaurant nearby , less than 3 minutes by car where we eat for two days in a row. ||If I go to Malacca again, I will still choose this...
