Went here last night... although tired and very sleep deprived... the star attraction of the night was the crab! Was very tempted to order soooo much more... Chillie Crab $36SG for 700gram from seafood alliance... $3 for the marn tdou bun.. my ping ting is non existent.. it was medium size crab enough for 2. Meat was fresh nice and firm. But definitely can not compare to the Australian Darwin mud crab!!! which is more flavourful. Well IMHO was good but i don't think is the best... the sauce / gravy was a bit too sweat.. over the years of coming in and out of SG I still haven't found a "WOW" Have been coming here on and off over the years and SG and I still haven’t found a place that I can say... YEP I WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN for the crab. ideas most welcomed! :)) Chicken wing... wooooah!!! I'd come back for that alone!! Maaaan it was right size and had the chargrill flavour.. add the lime provided and a little dip into that sauce!!! Wooow! Overall it was a great experience washed down with a large bottle of Tiger for $7.50SG!! The growling jungle beats playing in my stomach due to hunger was very quickly replaced by carnivale!!!!

This is a famous food court here established years ago. There is a wide selection of food to taste. Love their dessert and roasted Char Siew and roasted pork! Met the best roasted pork and Char Siew here! You will see a long queue next to Yong Tau Foo one. The meat is not too sweet and salty. Just perfect! Tried Ikan Bakar. It will be on your right side when you step into their main entrance. The fish is freshly served with Nyonya style chili paste while garnished with sliced cucumber, onion and lady's finger. The taste is great but it is quite loaded with MSG. The fried oyster is not too oily however size of oyster is a bit tiny. It is less gravy compared to fried oyster sold in Muar. Their remarkable dessert and Yong Tau Fu stall are off on Monday. Yong Tau Foo is charged RM 1.30 to RM 1.50 per piece here. Xia Men wheat vermicelli @ misua is not bad. RM 10.00 per set. Tries pork and chicken Satay. Minimum order is ten pieces. The meat is dried, fatty and full of MSG. Gravy is also too sweet for me. Free parking lot is provided at the backyard. Nowadays most food stall accept e-wallet transaction.

My recent visit to the bustling Newton food court was a mixed experience. . Despite the crowded atmosphere, my friend and I were able to order some of our favorite dishes. . One disappointment was with the Mee Hoon Kuih and Yee mee from an old stall that has been operating for years. . While the dish is a decent portion at RM7 per bowl, we found that the soup was overly salty, leading us to request additional hot water in an attempt to dilute it. . Furthermore, upon receiving our Mee Hoon Kuih, we discovered that it lacked egg. I hope hat both their service and food quality will see improvement in future visits. . On a brighter note, we enjoyed a delightful Bubur Cacar and Oats dessert priced at RM3 per bowl; both were satisfactory choices. . Lastly, our experience with Yong Tao Fu priced at RM13 overall left us satisfied as all items were refried and served piping hot—a definite crowd-pleaser. . . JSE@20240323

This is a popular food court in Banda Hilir area of Melaka.

The food court was renovated recently. It is much better than before.

Wide selection of Chinese food available in this food court. Portuguese and Indian food are available too. The Monster Pig Stall serves very interesting pork burgers. Worth trying those pork burgers. The Fried Oysters is also recommended. There is a Chinese dessert stall (tong shui stall,糖水) too. All the stalls serve nice food.

Cleanliness is acceptable.

Toilet facilities are available in the food court

Prices of food and drinks are reasonable. Cash and e-wallet payments are accepted here.

There is a large carpark behind the food court. Parking spaces available most of the time. During holidays, may have a problem getting a parking lot.

Patrons on wheel chairs can patronize this food court easily.

03-11-2022 : Business is back to normal. All stalls are operating. Prices have risen slightly but still reasonable and affordable.

30-03-2023 : Crowd is back to pre Covid-19 level. Still enjoy the pork burgers served in this food court. The Fried Indo Mee is nicely done and...
