7-9 Years ago my cousins drove me to Bee Bee house, the tarts were really forgettable and not tasting good. Now they brought some back to Singapore and I remember why I never asked about want them again. Come on la. You must upgrade and change to a better recipe please. If you are really paying high rent and salary like in Singapore, you will really improve quickly with better packaging and stay in business. There is no such incentive, and says the same for many businesses there. The people who gave good reviews here are deceiving public here, and not doing a service to both the business and the paying public. If you want good pineapple tarts, come to the island where there are many Michelin star restaurants and bad food and service restaurants have to close in 6 Months. Only the best and the hungrier to improve stays in business. I know this post is going to get msians and singaporeans angry but that’s...
Read moreRecommended to come here by two local Malaccans 🤗. I was excited because I love freshly made pineapple tarts. I was surprised to taste saltiness in the crust. I was informed that’s the local style - savory. 🤔. I can’t honestly said I enjoyed it. I shared a box with friends and the other box with immediate family. Typically, I would have kept and ate the pineapple tarts in the two boxes! 😄 I only ate the leftover tarts after they were in the fridge.
The gula Melaka dodol was fragrant. Many told me not to put in the fridge. Right…the ants agreed with them too, but not me 😁. It’s easier to cut when it’s taken out from the fridge and it’s still fragrant. I didn’t like the doughy texture though. Ok, ok, I get the joke - dodol = doughy 🤭.
PS Don’t miss the house! Make sure you 📞 before coming. Otherwise, “no stock”…I had connection so, I was able to get these hot out from the oven within...
Read more5/10/25 — Someone visiting Melaka helped me buy 2 boxes of the pineapple tarts at S$15 per box. The original price is RM18. I thought it was money well spent for authentic Nyonya pineapple tarts all the way from Melaka. It was money down the drain 😡😡😡😡😡
The tarts I got were burnt, bitter and, the WORST pineapple tarts I have ever eaten in my entire life. My family, a friend and 2 neighbours agreed. 😱 Burnt 😱 Bitter 😱 Salty 😱 Oily 😱Awful
We think the tart seller just anyhow packed these horrible tarts to the unsuspecting, naive Singaporean willing to pay for these.
I also got 2 bottles of Murukku at S$9 each. No sure what the RM price is. One bottle had with a LONG BLACK HAIR stuck to the sticky tape at the cover. The Murukku is crispy & fresh but the “free human hair” shook our confidence in the food hygiene standards of this home based business.
BeeBee should change name to...
