CARLTON INN Bukit Ubi Kuantan — Hotel in Pahang

Disgustingly dirty and dusty hotel. The room given to me smelled strongly of stale cigarette and there were hairs on the floor everywhere. There were no windows at all so it's really a painful suffering to inhale the cigarette smell the whole time inside the room. Toilet was sticky, unclean and had a musty odor. The walls looked like they came from a horror movie. The mugs and tray seemed like they have never been washed thoroughly since the Obama era. Even the teabags look stained, perhaps taken out from old stock.

No desk and chair provided. What is this, a prison cell? Room ambience is terribly gloomy and depressing, as if there was no effort by the hotel management to provide hospitality service at all.

No parking facility provided, you have to pay for the parking tickets. The check-in counter did not even bother to have the coupons in stock, instead they will tell you to install the Pahang Go app and buy the parking tickets online on your own.

The hotel was so depressing that I quickly checked out right away after an hour checking in and stayed at another hotel on the same day. I regretted making a 3-day booking at Carlton Inn before arriving in Kuantan due to seeing some "good" reviews about it on a hotel booking app.

To reconfirm my cancellation, I asked the staff if I could get a refund for the remaining cancelled days. Staff says I can't get refund because "all hotels practice non-refund policy" and dismissed me just like that as if I was stupid. But he didn't know that I actually managed to get my refund through the booking app.

I felt cheated. Stay away from this scam "hotel" if you don't want to face the same hell I've...

Given to the room rate, undeniable it is very attractive. I don't quite mind the location of the hotel, cause I have car with me. Finding food is not a problem at all.

However, room cleanliness is very important, and the room I stayed for 2 nights is the most terrible hygiene condition I have ever stayed.

The wall have many unidentify stains in corners. I also found many stains on the bathbroom walls and inside and outside toilet bowls. The mould is grow like crazy. Clearly, the chamber maid did not complete its job and dust were found...

so dirty.... strong smell of something unpleasant once i entered the room. probably cigarettes and also something else. price is affordable yes but cleanliness is essential. it's a place to rest, to sleep. not a luxury place is okay, not important, but the cleanliness of the place you provide should be a priority especially when the customers paid for it. if there are no maids, hire some. this shouldn't be normalized. not to mention the air conditioning, once you turn it on phewww...
